Fantastic review with tons of images for Reactive Armor Duke

TerrorDrome forum member CADPAT has posted a very nice, intensive review for the upcoming Reactive Armor Duke for the G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA toyline.  This figure is becoming more and more cemented as a great one every time I see more images of it.  The sleek design of the uniform only seems to add to the range of motion and poseability of the figure, which is a very strong selling point for me.

I’ve mirrored a few images below, but there are a lot more at the review, so check out this great review here!

Interview with Larry Hama on ComicBookResources

Thanks to JoeBattleLines for pointing out that Larry Hama has done a new interview for comics website Comic Book Resources.  He touches on many facets of his career, including (of course) G.I. Joe.

Of note, he had this to say about the film, “I was on board as a consultant on the movie. I’m seeing the latest cut at the end of May, but I really liked the rough cut I saw in December. Stu Beattie wrote a killer screenplay. Marlon Wayans rocks. Ray Park owns Snake-Eyes. ‘Nuff said.”

Check out the full interview here.

Pictures and review for upcoming Rise of COBRA Flash!

Smokescreen over on one-18th.com has managed to get his hands on a pre-production version of the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA Flash figure, and posted it up on his site here.

The pictures are nice and detailed with some cool shots of angles we haven’t seen before…I love the fact that the sculpting on his back looks like the old school backpack.  A very neat touch.  Flash is rumored to be a playable character in the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA video game by Electronic Arts.

Previously unseen images of upcoming figures for Kamakura, Night Adder and more

Toyssir898 of HissTank.com has posted some great new images of previously unseen figures!  According to the thread title, the pictures show Kamakura, various Neo-Vipers, and Night Adder.  These names coincide with a past “Wal-Mart” listing as well, though it’s unclear exactly who is who.  Check out the original thread here, or just hit up the mirrored images below.

If “Night Adder” is the dude with the dog, I am LOVING it.  Very sinister looking figure with some absolutely bad ass web gear.  It looks to be the gear that originally came with Resolute Roadblock, and it looks incredible here.  Holy crap.

GeneralsJoes flashback reviews are online!

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten regular reviews posted, but that’s changing right now, with a HUGE thanks to the Big Bad Toy StoreBBTS has stepped up and agreed to directly sponsor new product reviews, and we’re starting now with Wave 6 of the Comic Packs from 2008.  As we move on towards the movie line stuff, I figured it was a perfect time to look back and give some insight on the later releases of the Anniversary line that I hadn’t gotten a chance to cover yet.

So, check out these brand new reviews…sort of a “look back” so to speak:

If you guys appreciate the reviews, please take some time to hit a link over to Big Bad Toy Store, or find some other way to tell them you heard about ’em over here.  It will only guarantee the reviews continue hard and heavy as the movie stuff hits!

Enjoy!
