IDW G.I. Joe Solicitations for December, 2010

IDW has released the solicitations for their titles coming in the month of December, including the normal wealth of G.I. Joe goodness.  Just a quick glimpse shows some very cool stuff, I think.  Agent Helix…  and man, that Rod Whigham cover with Hawk and Storm Shadow?  That’s some pure old school goodness right there.
To see the full list of solicitations, hit the “Read the rest of this entry” link below.

GeneralsJoes Reviews PoC Wave 2 Jungle-Viper and Zartan!

Well, the two reviews on Friday left a somewhat bad taste in my mouth, so I gotta wash that out with two of the more stellar figures in the second wave of Pursuit of Cobra.  With these two reviews, the entire 2010 run of Pursuit of Cobra figures has been reviewed, and I’ve only got a pair of Alpha vehicles left to cover.
Actually, now that I think about it, I still have the Wolfhound I need to get posted, too, but I haven’t been able to drive myself to get that one done yet.  We’ll see.
Anyway, to check out the reviews of these two figures, you can hit up the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page or just check out the links below to go direct.

IDW Editor Andy Schmidt answers your G.I. Joe questions at JoeReloaded

Phil Kost over at JoeReloaded.com had a chance to talk with Andy Schmidt and got together a fantastic Q & A session with the IDW editor who is responsible for nearly all of the G.I. Joe  books produced.
The conversation ranges from the ARAH continuation by Larry Hama, to the status of the Trade Paperbacks, and touches on many new projects that are waiting in the wings.
Check out the full Q & A session right here!

JoeCanuk Exclusive eBay auctions to support a fan in need

If you’ve checked out the banner up above, you already know about the Canadian Joefan who needs our help.  Well, a member of JoeCanuck.com is generously offering up his Canadian JoeCon exclusive Frostback Trooper on eBay in order to help the process along!
Check out the following email I received from JoeCanuck:

Thanks to the kindness of our very own LatinJoe22, there is now a Frostback Trooper posted on ebay to help raise money for Deanna and her trip to India (Read this thread if you have no clue what this is about – http://www.joecanuck.com/joe/board/index.php?topic=4872.0).
Along with the Frostback Trooper, his two weapons, stand, filecard (with the HATE card on the back), there is also a signed Larry Hama card, and a signed Zack Hoffman (voice of Zartan) trading card. Both of these cards were only available at the Canadian Joe Con, August 7th 2010 in Toronto.

GeneralsJoes Reviews Pursuit of Cobra Wave 2 Snake Eyes and Recondo

By and large, the Pursuit of Cobra has been a lovefest.  Hasbro has been on a roll, and most of the figures released for this line to date have been home runs, or at the very least a solid double or triple.
Well, nobody’s perfect, I guess.
These two figures come from each side of the spectrum…one of them has pretty much nothing of merit, while the other one is just chock full of lost potential.  The end result is still a couple of disappointments.  Check out the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page, or hit the links below to go direct:

Photo Galleries for Pursuit of Cobra Ice Cutter and AWE Striker

While I’m working on my own reviews for the recently released Pursuit of Cobra Ice Cutter and AWE Striker, here are a couple of galleries from The Terror Drome featuring some fantastic images of these upcoming vehicles.
Something of note to check out is also the YouTube video of the Ice Cutter’s treads.  The reason I point this out is because I was not aware of the way these treads worked before I got my hands on the Ice Cutter, and it actually disappointed me somewhat.  I was really hoping maybe the treads would either be static or able to rotate, but instead, they just spin freely and rotate as the vehicle moves, which is kind of a bummer.  Beyond that, the vehicle looks very, very cool.
Check out the images below, with links to the original galleries at The Terror Drome as well.

Wow.  That AWE Striker sucks, but Night Fox is freaking awesome.  I’ll give more of my opinions during the review…

Review onslaught begins… Pursuit of Cobra Wave 2

I know I posted the Dusty review already, but now as the rest of Pursuit of Cobra Wave 2 has arrived at my doorstep, I’ll start pumping out those reviews starting with the Arctic Threat Destro!
Wave 2 really continues on the great trend started with Wave 1, and it certainly doesn’t look to be stopping.  Check out the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page as I continue to post figure reviews through the week, and get those latest two Alpha Vehicles posted as well.

G.I. Joe: Operation HISS Webisode 8 Online Now

Along with the aforementioned Baroness focused episode, Hasbro has also posted the 8th installment of G.I. Joe: Operation: HISS, this time featuring a showdown of Storm Shadow vs….  Kamakura?!  Sweet.  Love seeing those somewhat obscure Joes getting their due.
And yeah, as much as the G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra video game didn’t inspire much love among the fandom, I did enjoy the costumes they used (a neat mixture of the movie themed Reactive Armor, and some more toy-centric colors).  Since these are obviously the same models they used for the video game, it’s neat to see Kamakura sporting those togs here, too.
Check out the episode right here, and I’ve mirrored some images below.

And yes, if I go through the trouble of screen-capping even these cheesy mini-webisodes, can you just imagine the kind of treatment Renegades will get once it hits?  It’ll be epic, I promise you.
