Man, is it a great time to be a geek or what? As a childhood toy and comic book freak, who would have thought that summers in my 30’s would be spent enjoying (for the most part) Hollywood’s take on those super heroes and supernatural characters that shaped my imagination back then. But honestly I’m not sure there’s been a better slate of geek-flicks than what’s shaping up this year. This is gonna be a blast! Keep reading for trailers, clips, and my unwelcome opinions…
While I have no plans nor intentions to be a news site related to Marvel toys, I figure since I linked to a post about the movie Deadpool figure at MarvelousNews.com yesterday, I might as well post a follow up, because a poster on ToyArk.com scored some MUCH better pictures of this figure. Once again I’ll put pics after the break so as not to spoil anything.
It would seem as if Hasbro is really pressing forward with the 3 3/4″ movement, and Marvel is coming along for the ride. I’ve captured pictures and press images of all Marvel 1:18 figures and gear, and will be hosting them all in various galleries within this post.
So, as you’re all aware, if you’ve been reading the site, the “Hulk Vs.” DVD was released on Tuesday, and the end result is all sorts of YouTube clips of the awesomeness within, especially with the Wolverine installment.
None of them are better than this one, though, featuring Deadpool’s best moments:
BAD. ASS.
I’m so glad I bought this. Even though the Wolverine part of the DVD is only a touch over 30 minutes, it’s probably the most entertaining Marvel-based animated feature I’ve seen. Gold.
Well, first of all…because it’s my site, dammit. :shifty:
In all seriousness… it’s safe to say I’ve been a fan of Marvel cartoons since day 1…actually, Marvel TV shows and movies in general. Channel 56 out of Boston would show a “Creature Double Feature” on Saturdays every weekend, and I would ALWAYS make sure to tune in, because sometimes, just sometimes, they would show the old school 70’s Amazing Spider-Man TV show. Yeah, you know the one.
So the premiere for Wolverine and the X-Men was on Nicktoons last night, and even though it’s been out in Canada (and thus, on the torrent sites) for a while now, this is a first look for a lot of folks. What did you think?
Personally, I’m digging it. I’ve seen 14 episodes so far, but I caught it again, and between this show, the Spectacular Spider-Man, and Hulk Vs. on DVD, the Marvel animated features are really impressing me. For anyone who doesn’t have NickToons, their website is showing full episodes as well! Check that out here.
Just for the heck of it, too, here’s another trailer:
