No, they’re not official, but they are neat little items, even if they do appear to be knock-offs. eBay seller shashentao has posted an auction for what appear to be vac-metallized “chrome” Storm Shadow figures in silver and gold. These are not official items, but they are a pretty neat eye-catcher for anyone’s collection.
They appear to be fully poseable, though, being knock offs, there are always some questions about durability.
Another Sunday, another great ws_toys Rise of COBRA auction has been posted, this time for the COBRA Ninja Storm Shadow! Check out this latest great auction here, and check out the equally great images below:
The folks over at The Terror Drome posted up their own gallery of a few screen shots from the video game trailer, but being the anal retentive guy that I am, I wanted to go out and get my own stuff together…so I dove into the trailer and took my own set of shots, and have posted the gallery below.
Some interesting stuff throughout…a shot of a cool looking G.I. Joe Hummer, as well as a bomber jet. Some interesting pics of funky looking COBRA Troopers that don’t really resemble anything we’ve seen so far. And of course, some detailed shots of the familiar movie stuff duking it out in game form. I don’t buy many games these days, but I will be picking this one up.
Some folks are starting to receive their latest Collectors’ Club newsletters for the month of April…but unfortunately there is no additional information on the 2009 Convention Exclusive figures within. 🙁
However, not all news is bad news. According to GGPIKE of the Coil Club, the newsletter does have a very nice (though apparently somewhat small) picture spread of the upcoming Attack on COBRA Island 7-Packs with pictures of the figures and all of the gear they will be coming with! Unfortunately, no pictures are available, but with help from George, I can describe what each figure looks to come equipped with:
Video game trailer and video site GameTrailers.com has debuted the official trailer for the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA video game! Check the link out here, or just check it out below:
In the last issue of the JoeCanuck newsletter, we saw line art for Backstop, and a mysterious, bald black-clad COBRA agent who are slated to be part of the exclusive package available at the upcoming Canadian G.I. Joe Convention. Well, over at JoeCanuck.com more details have emerged, including the “Dead Eye”, Backstop’s personal tank!
Based off the Armadillo, it uses a nicely custom sticker sheet to separate it from the familiar style and has a very unique storyline that ties it in with the rest of the set. A “must have” for any fans going over the border for the May 2nd show! Check out the thread on JoeCanuck here for more details, images are mirrored below. Also, be sure to visit CanadianJoeCon.com for all of the details on the upcoming convention.
