It’s been a while since I’ve gotten regular reviews posted, but that’s changing right now, with a HUGE thanks to the Big Bad Toy Store. BBTS has stepped up and agreed to directly sponsor new product reviews, and we’re starting now with Wave 6 of the Comic Packs from 2008. As we move on towards the movie line stuff, I figured it was a perfect time to look back and give some insight on the later releases of the Anniversary line that I hadn’t gotten a chance to cover yet.

Two great tastes that taste great together… Resolute and Sigma 6! The perfect marraige.
All credit goes to Jsalwen from JoeBattleLines, who stepped up and took to the sewing machine to blend the Sigma 6 universe and the Resolute universe in a way I’ve only dreamed of…and produced this amazing Sigma 6 Resolute Destro! As we get closer and closer to the release date of G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA, things are going to keep on rolling, and the Rise of COBRA website has gotten updated with some new content and a nice layout. The latest screenshots are online and there’s a pretty cool “Developers Log”

It only makes sense that at the 2009 Licensing Expo, there would be a pretty strong showing for Hasbro brands with all of their properties coming together this year. And indeed, both Transformers and G.I. Joe had good representation, with some images showing up on HissTank.com. The most intriguing image is for a strange looking three-wheeled motorcycle that may or may not end up on the big screen. Check out the images mirrored below!

Terror Drome members spacemonkeymafia and Roadblock Recall have posted a nice review of the so-far unreleased Resolute styled Baroness figure. Based strongly on the figure that came with the most recent COBRA 5-Pack, this version looks to be a bit bluer in color, has a new head sculpt, and a ton of new weapons.

Dark 5cythe from the Terror Drome got a chance to get some hands on time with the Rise of COBRA video game at E3, and reports on his findings here.
“I’ve been at the LA Convention Center for E3 all day! I’m tired, but excited! I got to play the Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS versions of the G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra game. And it doesn’t disapoint.
Let me get something out of the way, this is a movie game. But they made the wise choice of NOT mirroring the movies events. The quality is nice and the gameplay was fun. This isn’t Gears of War as you can tell from the graphics, but it doesn’t make it any less fun.
It felt very much inspired by Contra — a-run-n-gun feel to the game. It’s a fun shoot em up, that anyone can pick up and play.”
