Toy Fair 2012 Initial Image upload

Quite a whirlwind day today at the Hasbro Toy Fair event as usual, but with a bunch of very cool G.I. Joe: Retaliation stuff revealed! Here is a quick image dump of various items that were on display today at Toy Fair. I will be working throughout the night tonight to refine and get a much more organized, cohesive look at the upcoming G.I. Joe: Retaliation toys.

Enjoy this quick slam of images, and keep your eyes peeled to GeneralsJoes as I rotate images, organize them, and plan on getting the Retaliation toy SuperPage completely updated for Toy Fair!

Toy Fair 2012 this weekend – Coverage at GeneralsJoes.com

Good morning!

Just a reminder – Toy Fair 2012 is this weekend, and Hasbro’s showroom tour is happening tomorrow, February 11th!  GeneralsJoes will be present and accounted for, and providing coverage throughout the afternoon.

If you don’t follow me on Twitter, I strongly encourage you to do so, as I will be Live Tweeting from the demonstration, which often is several hours prior to images being uploaded.  As the evening progresses, I will get images online!

Keep your eyes peeled and follow GeneralsJoes on Twitter for the latest intel from the show.

Wi Fi problems, site issues and lessons learned

So generally Toy Fair coverage goes very smoothly for me.  This year, not so much.
From Grand Central Station removing their free Wi-Fi access, to page load increases screwing up my page formatting, things were a little wonky this year.  Rest assured, this will not be a trend.  I’ve already talked to my webhost about increasing resources there, and I’ve got a second battery on order for the Droid, so next time around, even if I can’t find Wi-Fi I can at least use the tether (I couldn’t this year until I’d let the phone charge for about an hour).
So, hopefully you’ve enjoyed the coverage, I apologize for the slight bumps in the road this year…things will be better next year when I’m covering in celebration of Renegades Season 2, the 30th Anniversary, and the the returning global phenomenon of G.I. Joe.  :shifty:
Seriously, thanks to everyone for continuing to check the page.  All of the coverage can be found here, and the SuperPage is right here.
Yo Joe!

Toy Fair Coverage this weekend

Just as a reminder, I will be in attendance in New York City this weekend for the Hasbro Fan Presentation in the midst of Toy Fair 2011.  The event occurs Saturday at noon, and expect live tweets and on the spot reporting as quickly as possible during the chaos of room tours and running through the city looking for open WiFi.
I strongly recommend that you follow me on Twitter.  That will be the first and best source of immediate reports from the show.
Once I get settled in Grand Central, I’ll start uploading pics as well.  I’ll be adding a link to the drop down menu as well for Toy Fair 2011 coverage, just to keep things organized.
Toy Fair 2011 kicks off a great few months of shows with JoeCon in late March, leading up to SDCC in July.  Things are officially going to start heating up!

Mysterious camouflaged "Jungle B.A.T." image revealed

Well, Toy Fair is less than a month away, and suddenly a new test shot has emerged, courtesy of ACToys.net.
Now, when I saw the listing for Previews last night, I was scratching my head a bit over the whole “Jungle B.A.T.” idea.  Part of me hoped maybe there was some cool new hyper-detailed PoC themed android sculpting involved, but it certainly doesn’t look that way.  Just looks like a B.A.T. in a camouflaged uniform.  Is that good or bad?  Enh, I dunno.
Personally, my G.I. Joe universe is much more about Cobra’s human operatives than their mechanical ones, so this holds little significance for me, but I suppose there are folks out there who will be digging it.  We’ll see.  I do like the paint scheme of the jungle camouflage, I think it looks really cool, and would look great on a more standard military figure, I’m just not sure it fits on Cobra’s robotic soldiers.

Thanks to The Terror Drome for the heads up.
