Shout! Factory COMPLETE SERIES week-long review event!

A great way to start your Monday morning, huh?  Beginning today and running through the entire week, GeneralsJoes will be doing the most in-depth and thorough review of the Shout! Factory Complete Series DVD set that you will see anywhere.  A page-by-page breakdown of exactly what episodes and what special features are on what discs, what I liked most about those discs and why this is worth dropping $145.00.

Every morning a new page will go up, covering a new section of the whopping SEVENTEEN discs that you will find within.  Part one is up NOW!

Enjoy.

Shout! Factory Season 1.1 Review Posted!

I know I’ve been dipping a bit into “non toy” land with the reviews lately, but rest assured, the toy reviews are coming and coming STRONG.  Expect to see some either this weekend or the beginning of next week!

Until then, I’ve posted a full blown review with video clips and all for the upcoming Shout! Factory Season 1.1 DVD boxed set!  Check it out right here.

Flashback Review Update – COBRA 5-Pack #3

Once again, BigBadToyStore comes through with sponsoring another “Flashback Review” this time around, for the second COBRA 5-Pack with COBRA Commander, Storm Shadow, the Baroness, Zartan, and COBRA Viper.

Is it as good as the Joe one?  Is it worth buying at all?  Check out the review right here!  Also, stay tuned as the Rise of COBRA street date looms…BBTS will be sponsoring all my new reviews as well, so expect an onslaught once those hit retail!

Flashback Review update – G.I. Joe 5-Pack #2

More big thanks to Big Bad Toy Store for sponsoring another Flashback Review, this time, for the second G.I. Joe Five-Pack featuring General Hawk, Flint, Lady Jaye, Shipwreck, and Snake Eyes!  As an added bonus, BBTS has these for sale now for 20% off!

While a couple of these figures became somewhat redundant with the Hall of Heroes set, there is still a lot to love for a pretty reasonable price.  Check out the full review right here!

Pennsylvania JoeCustoms Picnic Exclusives Reviewed!

Along with the more well-known G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club and Canadian JoeCon, many smaller regional groups are getting into the “exclusive” figure game to draw folks to their meet ups, or just to have fun with. Last year, a crew of JoeCustoms faithful in the Pennsylvania area held a JoeCustoms get together and featured two exclusive figures, Auger, and Methane. Well, just in time for the next Pennsylvania JoeCustoms Picnic (May 30th in Pottsville, PA) I’ve posted a review for these two figures in my Exclusives section.

Check out the review here, and for all details about the upcoming JoeCustoms Picnic, check out this thread on JoeCustoms.com!

Comic Pack “Tunnel Rat vs. Storm Shadow” Reviewed

I know, I know…my reviews have taken quite a bit of a hit lately and gotten thrust onto the back burner.  For folks who aren’t aware, my review “shooting area” is in my garage.  My unheated garage.  I live in New England, and for the past 3 months it’s been pretty damned cold, and frankly, sitting in the unheated garage and taking pictures for a c0uple of hours ain’t really high on my list of fun things to do.  But that’s a lame excuse…and now I’m going to at least try and get back on the review train with the Wave 1 Comic Packs.
