Two more stills from G.I. Joe: Retaliation

We’re coming within almost 2 months of the release for G.I. Joe: Retaliation and some more stuff is coming out…  our next allotment of press images from the upcoming G.I. Joe sequel have Roadblock and Snake Eyes in a much friendlier moment than a previous image we saw with them pointing weapons at each other.  The second image is another picture of Lady Jaye in that red dress.

Wouldn’t mind seeing some more action shots with her, but hey, what are ya gonna do, right?  Check out the images below.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson talks to Entertainment Weekly about G.I. Joe: Retaliation

This story actually came out a couple of days ago, but got kind of lost in the shuffle of the big action figure reveals.  Entertainment Weekly recently published a story with some attention paid to G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and they’ve posted a nice interview on their website as well.

I will admit, most of the back and forth banter is stuff we’ve heard (and read) before, but it’s still great to see some more mainstream publicity for the movie sequel.

The most telling quote is this one:

“Channing Tatum returns from the first one, as does Jonathan Pryce. So there are some plot connections between The Rise of Cobra and Retaliation?

Yeah, sure, sure. There are some plot connections with the first and the second. I’ll tell you this: Out of great tragedy often emerges new leaders and, through a great tragedy that takes place with the Joes. New leaders emerge.”

Johnson does seem to indicate a bit more that perhaps Duke is destined for an uncertain fate in this film, though, as he puts a strong focus on Roadblock taking over the “leadership” role of the team.  That does seem to be a strong emphasis throughout the interview.  While it obviously doesn’t confirm any rumors about Duke in the film, it certainly doesn’t dispel them either.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation images flood the ‘net!

Ahh, excellent!  One good thing about spending all day “off the radar” packing for the big move is that when I get back online, there’s usually some cool news to talk about.  Today, it involves a handful of images from G.I. Joe: Retaliation that have hit the web from StarkIndustries.ru.

Once again, it’s unknown where they are getting these images from, but the pictures are pretty damn nice anyway.  Some great action shots!  Check out the mirrored images below.

Landmark 50th Episode of What’s on Joe Mind is online!

It’s the golden episode of the web’s longest running G.I. Joe podcast, What’s on Joe Mind!  Join us as we celebrate the occasion with former G.I. Joe comic writer Brandon Jerwa, with Marvel Comics Director of Communications Arune Singh, and featuring some very surprising (and most welcome) call-in congratulations!

The first 30 seconds of the show is about the most geeked-out moment I have ever experienced in the history of G.I. Joe collecting.  It’s a “can’t miss” experience!

For G.I. Joe fans, you’re going to want to hear about Brandon Jerwa’s new project “Shooters” that he is working on with Eric Trautman and artist Steve Lieber.  It’s a tight, emotional, military-themed graphic novel that I haven’t been able to put down!  Hear all about it on the show.

As always, hit up our Podbean Page, or check it out via the embedded player below.  As always the full blown show notes are after the jump.

New G.I. Joe: Retaliation image shows a little Flint vs. Ninja action

This latest image from G.I. Joe: Retaliation comes courtesy of StarkIndustries.ru, which is apparently a Russian film site, but I’ll be damned if I know where they got it from.  I know with the last series of Retaliation press images, a Russian site was ahead of the American press by a day or two for whatever reason.

The awesome looking image features G.I. Joe member Flint (D.J. Cotrona) facing off against the infamous Cobra Ninja Storm Shadow (Byung Hun Lee).  It’s a pretty neat image and shows us that from all appearances, Storm Shadow will look very similar to his Rise of Cobra appearance in his leather trenchcoat.  Check out the mirrored image below.

Big thanks to NFC JD for the heads up!
