Two great tastes that taste great together… Resolute and Sigma 6! The perfect marraige.
All credit goes to Jsalwen from JoeBattleLines, who stepped up and took to the sewing machine to blend the Sigma 6 universe and the Resolute universe in a way I’ve only dreamed of…and produced this amazing Sigma 6 Resolute Destro! Check out the thread here, and drool over the hand-sewn greatness below.

Along with the more well-known G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club and Canadian JoeCon, many smaller regional groups are getting into the “exclusive” figure game to draw folks to their meet ups, or just to have fun with. Last year, a crew of JoeCustoms faithful in the Pennsylvania area held a JoeCustoms get together and featured two exclusive figures, Auger, and Methane. Well, just in time for the next Pennsylvania JoeCustoms Picnic (May 30th in Pottsville, PA) I’ve posted a review for these two figures in my Exclusives section.
Check out the review here, and for all details about the upcoming JoeCustoms Picnic, check out this thread on JoeCustoms.com!

I know it’s been a while since I did one of these, but I just couldn’t resist. The inclusion of Matt Trakker into the 25th Anniversary line created quite a ripple in the fandom with arguments about a non-Joe character taking up a “slot” for what could have been a better choice, or wondering why MASK was getting any G.I. Joe love at all. Myself? I thought it was a very cool idea. Well, HissTank member BHiga6181 takes it one step further and whipped up a full blown M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M. team with masks and all. Both BHiga and myself have to give huge props as well to Tri-Gate Creations for their awesome work on the masks that were used for this project as well.
Check out these two threads on HissTank for all the names and details, and you can hit up the images mirrored below. Nice work on this one!

Anyone who has been around G.I. Joe customizing for any length of time should be well aware of the skills of Chad Smelcer, AKA chad_ghost, most notably of JoeCustoms.com. Along with posting some stuff on JoeCustoms, though, he also hosts his own page with a full gallery of all the fantastic customs he’s produced over his already long and illustreous “career”. He primary works with the o-ring format, but a customizer of his ability doesn’t have many shortcomings.
Chad is currently holding a raffle, hoping to earn some money for a trip back to Niger, and the prize for this raffle is a one-of-a-kind custom figure made just for the winner. The full details are here:

– The drawing will be held May 28th, 10 PM EST via webcam feed.

To give you just a small sample of Chad’s skills, here’s a gallery of only a sampling of his amazing custom work. Check out his site to see the full range of figures that he’s done over the years. Not only are you getting the chance to potentially receive an awesome custom figure, but you’re helping out a great cause as well.

Wow. Some amazing stuff here. You don’t always have to work with plastic to get the “kick ass custom” moniker here. 😉
BennyBroca over on HissTank has posted some very impressive customized box art and package art and really manages to capture the vintage style. My personal favorite is the customized box for the MASS Device, which has two images I’ve mirrored below. Definitely check out the thread to see the other pics, though, they’re all awesome.

JoeCustoms marvel iwbeta makes a return to the “kick ass custom” of the week on GeneralsJoes with a couple of awesome MASK customs!
While much of the Joe fandom freaked out when Matt Trakker was revealed as one of the Anniversary figures, I thought it was an awesome and intriguing concept and loved seeing the two universes merged (as forced as it might have been). Not only that, but the Trakker figure was actually pretty awesome, to boot. Well, iwbeta takes it a step further and gives us a fantastic looking Miles Mayhem and Sly Rax from the evil VENOM team.
Check out the thread at JoeCustoms here. I’ve also mirrored the great pics below:
