Just as a reminder that Hasbro’s latest round of the G.I. Joe Q & A is coming right up. Questions are due to be submitted next Monday, September 13th!
If you have any burning questions, post ’em in the comments below. Can’t promise I’ll use them, but it certainly doesn’t hurt.

Yes, tomorrow is “Labor Day” which means I do not have to go into the office (though I am on call as always… gotta love being in IT), so I should have some extra time to get some content ready for posting.
Last week I received the new Pursuit of Cobra Bravo Vehicles, the VAMP and the Fury, and I am in the process of gathering images for the review. I also managed to snag some Pursuit of Cobra figures at retail (*GASP!*) so I’m hoping to possibly have a review of one of them leading into next week as well.
I know news seems a bit slow these days, but I’ll be doing my best to get content rolling again.
I also got another awesome package in the mail from the generous folks from the Canadian JoeCon, and as always, I’ll work with them to get reviews up in their awesome newsletter as well as on the site as well, so keep your eyes open for those, too.
I will admit, too, that the Pursuit of Cobra and G.I. Joe: Resolute are really fueling my dio-story fire once again as well…and with a break in “continuity” in the wings with G.I. Joe: Renegades, it almost seems like a natural time to work in my own little twist on the G.I. Joe universe and finally finish Darkness Falls. I can’t promise anything, but the sets are pretty much built, the story is written, and all I need is the time. Which of course, is the hardest thing to come by.
We’ll see.
Hopefully the pay off will be worth it. I’m usually my own harshest critic, but I must admit, I am very happy with the way my dio-story universe wraps up in Darkness Falls. It feels like some great closure to my own story, and could potentially provide a bridge to future events as well. Maybe once the kids are in college. 😉

Just got word from the guys at Apocalypse Comics who are helping with the guests and exclusives available at the New York ComicCon, and there is some cool things afoot for G.I. Joe fans! Check out the release below.
“We will be bring two exclusive variants to this years New York Comic Con. The first is for Transformers #12, and is a homage to the classic Jack Kirby cover of X-Men #1. The second is for GI Joe #23 and is a homage to the unforgetable Apocalypse Now! movie poster. The TF cover features Sideswipe, Prowl, Swoop, First Aid, Brainstorm, Bombshell and Scrapper and the GI Joe cover features Major Bludd and Duke. The reason we have chosen these specific characters to grace the covers is because they were all voiced by legendary voice actor Michael Bell who will be joining us at the convention, signing comics, figures, DVDs etc…
Also joining us at the show will be the artists of both covers, penciler Casey Coller (who also pencilled TF Spotlight Drift, Spotlight Blurr and the Ironhide mini series as well as numerous All Hail Megatron covers) and colorist John-Paul Bove. Casey will be sketching all weekend and John-Paul will be able to color sketches all weekend too as well as both siging comics.
So with three top guests and two awesome Convention Exclusive Covers, make sure you visit the Apocalypse Comics booth (booth #2281) for your collectable must haves!!!”
Awesome news to hear! Cartoon fans should love having a chance to meet and talk with Michael Bell. Check out the exclusive covers below.

by generalsjoes | Sep 1, 2010 | G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary
Wow. Something tells me the Collectors’ Club might be the biggest benefactor of Hasbro’s shift to non-Anniversary product, if this is any indication.
SNAKE EYES on HissTank.com is reporting that the 2011 GIJCC Incentive figure is none other than Dial Tone. With a newly sculpted head and his familiar 1986 style, this fills a huge hole in the 1986 roster and I think will make a lot of fans very happy.
There are currently no images of the figure, but it was announced in the latest issue of the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club newsletter. Kudos to the Club for getting a chance to explore the undone Anniversary figures, and this means nothing but good things for those fans who are clamoring for this stuff. Makes me excited to see some Con Set reveal info, that’s for sure.
Check out the GIJoe Collectors Club site to join now and ensure that you get your hands on Dial Tone in 2011! A big thanks to The Terror Drome Twitter page for the heads up.
