Hasbro's G.I. Joe Q & A Answer Day is here!

Must be Friday…the G.I. Joe related Q & A answers are coming back in!  Here’s what we have from GeneralsJoes:
1) Hasbro revealed at the last Q & A that we were likely to get more Pursuit of Cobra toys in 2011 than initially thought.  Are we going to have to wait until Toy Fair to hear more about these, or can we expect to see some product reveals in the coming weeks?  Could we even get a few hints as to what to expect?
A: Unfortunately, you will need to wait for Toy Fair to hear about all of the additional figures; however, we will be bringing out some of the figures that have been asked for over the years. Some of the favorite 80’s GI Joes will be making a comeback. Stay tuned.
2) The move to a more realistic style for the G.I. Joe: Renegades toys has thrilled many fans, but it seems like a decision that came at the last minute.  Considering tooling is usually done far in advance, were any animated style tools created for the line?  What are the chances of seeing some of that stuff used somewhere in the future?
A: We believe that the decision to stick with the realistic style was the right one and see that fans have been pleased with that decision as well. That decision was reached before the tooling dates for the line and we have no current plans to release animated style figures.
3) Considering the different style formats for the G.I. Joe: Renegades and the G.I. Joe movie universe, how does Hasbro plan to deal with toy releases for the G.I. Joe sequel, or for that matter, the potential for the 30th Anniversary?
A: NOT YET REVEALED
Thanks as always to Hasbro’s PR Firm and Hasbro themselves for answering the fandom’s burning questions!  As always, keep on checking the GeneralsJoes Q & A Page for more Q & A Answer goodness!

GeneralsJoes reviews G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra Shock Trooper

So how will you use this figure?  An updated blueshirt?  A Cobra urban assault specialist who compliments the Alley-Viper corps?  From a recent article in the G.I. Joe Club Newsletter John Warden seems to indicate this is an upgrade to the traditional blueshirt, though in some ways he almost comes off a bit too realistic for my tastes.
That’s not to say this is a bad figure, though…  you can check out the full review on the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page, or click the link below:

Support a great cause…and buy the cutest Cobra Commander ever while you're at it!

Now this is something you don’t see every day…  Compulsive Collector is a Twitter regular, and a friend of GeneralsJoes… and his support for Toys for Tots is almost legendary.  I see constant updates from him regarding purchasing items for Toys for Tots, donating items, and just supporting the cause in general.  For toy fans, this is a terrific cause.  I mean, we’re all where we are right now essentially because we either bought some really cool toys, or received them as gifts when we were kids.  Imagine if your family didn’t have the money for these items?  Imagine if you couldn’t buy that latest, greatest Snake Eyes figure because you simply couldn’t afford it?
Donating G.I. Joe figures to Toys for Tots not only ensures kids everywhere get some awesome toys, but it also spreads some brand awareness.  Nothing wrong with that.
Compulsive Collector is going one step further…he is auctioning off a one-of-a-kind plush Cobra Commander.  Yes, plush.  He’s cute and wants to rule the world!

GeneralsJoes reviews G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 Duke

One more day, one more review of a G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 figure.  I’ve already covered Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, this time around it’s super rocket-launcher Duke!  Yes, he comes with a ridiculous shoulder-mounted ICBM system.  But somehow he still manages to be a bad ass figure.
