Revealing images of Desert Battle Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow

Yes, August is a good two months away, but the Pursuit of Cobra images are flying in, this time from Troynos over at HissTank.com.  In all honesty, two of my least anticipated figures coming up are the Desert Battle Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, but these new images have made them appealing, at least from an accessory standpoint.
Snake Eyes looks really cool in the colors shown here (even though they’re pre-production), and Storm Shadow’s accessories are sick.  I love the way they all connect together and can create different combinations.  That cross-sword sheath is very cool, too!
The name of the game with the Pursuit of Cobra seems to be accessorize!  And so far, pretty much every figure has done it exceptionally well.  Even figures that aren’t all that appealing to me have enough cool gear to make it worth while.  Very nice.  Images are mirrored below.

GeneralsJoes reviews Sideshow Collectibles Cobra Trooper

Due to monetary reasons, I really haven’t been able to stay on top of the Sideshow releases, but thankfully I’ve been able to get my hands on the Cobra Trooper.  This figure was initially released quite a while ago, so this review isn’t exactly a current event, but the figure is cool enough that I figured it was worth covering anyway.

Mysterious new ninjas invade TaoBao

You would think with the internet, the purveillance of the overseas gray market sellers, and the resources at our disposal, there wouldn’t be much out there that we haven’t at least gotten a sniff of by now.  Well, the Terror Drome has dug up a pair of figures that really haven’t been on anyone’s radar.  Most likely cancelled figures from the Rise of Cobra line (at least the one with the Reactive Armor vest), we have two figures that may or may not be more Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow updates that folks hadn’t heard of.
The original sightings come from TaoBao, and comes via ilovesw, a seller that has been around the block a number of times.
While the figures themselves don’t offer a whole lot of cool, new excitement, it’s always pretty neat catching a glimpse of “what might have been”.  Who knows, these may end up seeing release down the road somewhere.  With how much Hasbro is distancing themselves from the Rise of Cobra, I strongly doubt the figure with the reactive armor will see release, especially because Hasbro already announced the cancellation of Training Duke, who shares many of the same parts.
Time will tell, I suppose.

Pursuit of Cobra Spirit emerges from the jungle

I know I’ve been holding myself to trying not to promote the overseas auctions for toys that are hitting retail in a few short months, but I feel compelled to let folks know that the absolutely awesome looking Pursuit of Cobra Spirit Ir0n-Knife figure is hitting famed auction site the Black Sheep Toy Store.  The price is inflated, and I strongly encourage everyone to wait until he’s available at $7.00 in your local Toys “R” Us in a couple short months.
But I might just be a hypocrite. :shifty:
Check it out right here. Big thanks to GeneralsJoes reader Tony for the heads up!

I pity da fool who doesn't love the new A-Team van

Most folks who are thirty-something Joefans probably watched the A-Team back in the day…and while Galoob put out some horrible o-ring style A-Team figures way back when, BA, Hannibal, et al didn’t really get the action figure love they deserved.
Well, with the new movie coming out this summer, Jazwares picked up the license and is doing a very cool looking line of 4″ figures based on the film!  Granted, these guys won’t look exactly like their 80’s counterparts, but it’s close enough.  Of course, you could just forget about the figures and rejoice about the fact that THERE’S A  *@#$@%!  JOE SCALE A-TEAM VAN COMING OUT!
Seriously, pretty cool looking toys.  Decent articulation, and the van absolutely ROCKS.  Credit to the MTV Movie Blog.
