Without much time for editing, Gary was still able to slam out a couple episodes of What’s on Joe Mind for your listening pleasure while you travel to the G.I. Joe Convention in New Orleans this week!

It’s never a good thing when the podcast starts out with sordid JoeCon stories, but like it or not, that’s how we kicked off episode 59 and it only went downhill from there. Chuck unleashes some punishment for the “Stump Chuck” segment from episode 58 and we talk to Don about the Crappy Figure Brigade and being a forum staffer for Toy News International.

Has a fandom ever been thrown into such turmoil in such a short period of time before? Two weeks ago, new G.I. Joe toys were on the verge if being released, a movie was coming out in about a month, JoeCon was coming and things were GREAT.
Now, two weeks later, the film is pushed back to 2013, most of the toys have been delayed, and JoeCon’s quick sell out has created a riff in the fandom. What’s on Joe Mind to the rescue! We spend some time with voicemail messages in this episode, letting Joe fans vent their frustrations, as we take some time to vent our own.

So as we push on towards JoeCon, Gary and Mike are making their own promotional push…they’re appearing regularly on other podcasts to help promote JoeCon, and of course, talk up the What’s on Joe Mind podcast a little bit.

- Open Your Toys Episode 73 – Join Slick McFavorite and Mrs. McFavorite as they talk to Mike and Gary on this great toy-themed podcast that has been a mainstay on my personal playlist for a while now.
- Geek Cast Radio Network JoeCon Special – Gary and Mike join Steve and Mike on GCRN to talk up JoeCon and get into all of your favorite geek topics. A couple of very well established podcasting pro’s talking Joe, where can you go wrong?
