New images of boxed Alpha vehicles from HissTank.com

HissTank has posted some new boxed images of upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA vehicles.  We’ve seen most of this before in pre-production form, but a lot of the figures were swapped around and no one really knew their proper names.  Well, now we know.  Pictured below is:

  • Snarler Cycle w/ Beachhead and Rollbar (the urban deco repainted Airborne)
  • Sky Sweeper w/ Air Raid (dark blue repaint of Resolute Duke w/ Jet Pack)
  • Mantis Attack Craft w/ Aqua Viper Officer (black and red Lamprey repaint w/ removable helmet)

Also pictured is the four figure Target exclusive “Rescue Mission” set.  Check out the original thread here, and the images mirrored below.

I’ve also added all of the above images to the Rise of COBRA Toy SuperPage in their appropriate places.

Possible Target Exclusive 4-Pack on the horizon?

Thanks to SNAKE EYES from HissTank.com for pointing out some images that are leaking out there of four figures that are being labelled as a Target Exclusive “Rescue Mission” 4-Pack.  This pack appears to include:

  • Duke (Spandex shirt with camouflage pants)
  • Snake Eyes (Resolute body YES!! w/ Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes head)
  • 2 Neo-Vipers

I’ve mirrored the images below.  This info, of course, should be taken with a grain of salt as it is currently unconfirmed.  San Diego ComicCon should provide tons of verified information about what’s coming the rest of the year.

Another item of note is another Neo-Viper repaint, this time in black and silver.  You can see that image below:

Carded and boxed images of various Rise of COBRA items

A few different images of carded and boxed items from the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA line have started popping up over at the Terror Drome and HissTank.com.  So far we have an Arctic Assault Snake Eyes, a COBRA Para-Viper repaint, and the Dragonhawk XH1 w/ Wild Bill!  I’m a bit disappointed that the Para-Viper is a single card, normal release, I was kind of hoping that would fall under an exclusive umbrella somewhere, but we’ll see.  They can’t all be winners, I guess.  😉

Don’t get me wrong, the Para-Viper is a very nice looking figure, he just can’t really do anything besides stand there, and I’m not real sure how well his style meshes with the normal movie stuff.  Anyway, the images are hosted below.

Awesome new character posters emerge for G.I.Joe: The Rise of COBRA

Alongside the new trailer, several different movie sites have received exclusive images of character posters, that quite frankly, kick ass.  They kick all sorts of ass.  In fact, if no one had seen any trailers, heard any rumors, or had any preconceived notions, I think they’d feel REALLY good about the direction of the film based on the sheer bad-assery of these posters.  Anyway…  The site links are below:

The images are also mirrored below.

Flashback Review update – G.I. Joe 5-Pack #2

More big thanks to Big Bad Toy Store for sponsoring another Flashback Review, this time, for the second G.I. Joe Five-Pack featuring General Hawk, Flint, Lady Jaye, Shipwreck, and Snake Eyes!  As an added bonus, BBTS has these for sale now for 20% off!

While a couple of these figures became somewhat redundant with the Hall of Heroes set, there is still a lot to love for a pretty reasonable price.  Check out the full review right here!
