We were one of the sites last week to break the news that Sideshow Collectibles was on the verge of announcing the pre-order for a new version of the venerable G.I. Joe commando ninja Snake Eyes! Well, the figure will be up for pre-order on March 15th (that’s Thursday), and Sideshow has posted the full gallery today!
This figure carries a hefty price tag, but comes with a ton of accessories as well as a fully articulated Timber. That’s right… Fully. Articulated. Timber.
Hell, the Sideshow Exclusive even has a swappable portrait for the wolf. Impressive, most impressive!
I’ve mirrored just a few images below, but the full blown gallery can be seen at Sideshow Collectibles, and keep your eyes peeled here on GeneralsJoes for when the pre-order goes live!

And wow, is it a beauty.
Taking a page from Hasbro’s handbook, Sideshow is riding the coat tails of G.I. Joe’s most popular character, the enigmatic Ninja commando Snake Eyes…but also like Hasbro, they’re doing such a great job giving him updated looks that even the most disparaging fan can’t help but be at least a little impressed.
Featuring his classic look and an awesome Commando aesthetic, this quick peek at G.I. Joe’s most infamous member already has my mouth drooling. Plus he comes with Timber! Sideshow announces a more in depth look at the Production Blog on March 13th, with pre-orders launching next Thursday, March 15th.
Get your keyboards ready, this one could be a hot one. Check out the sneak peek right here, or simply the mirrored image below.

Well, here it is…the last of my “First Looks”… I am officially sad. My experience with this sampling of figures has been very enlightening, and I really want to thank Gyre Vipre for giving me the opportunity to reveal these figures.
There’s been a lot of great stuff (Red Ninja, Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, most of Roadblock) but also some concerns as well, and I think this is likely indicative of the Retaliation line itself. Lots of ninja elements, but some very cool modern military elements, too, and I look forward to both.
Bring on May, and bring on a full blown G.I. Joe: Retaliation toy onslaught. I’m ready!
Until then, check out my G.I. Joe: Retaliation Review Page, or just click the link below for the last installment in my weeklong “First Look” segment. I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have.

As noted right here in the solicitations for upcoming issues, as of Issue #13, the Snake Eyes title will become “Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow”! Considering we’ve seen very little of the relationship between the two sword brothers in the IDW universe previous to this, this marks a landmark occasion.
Adding to the “Event” feeling of the title is that Robert Atkins is returning to do the interior artwork, and it’s also his 50th consecutive G.I. Joe cover for an IDW G.I. Joe title! Incredible.
I’m mirroring one image below, but you must hit up Robert Atkins’ blog to see his progress shots. This Storm Shadow looks amazing. Can’t wait to see the Snake Eyes to match up to it.

If you’re anything like me, you’re absolutely dying for G.I. Joe: Retaliation news or info. Well, next week we should be getting our first look at the G.I. Joe: Retaliation universe courtesy of IDW’s prequel series, which hits comic stores on Wednesday.
If you’re impatient like I am, good news! Comics Alliance has posted the five-page preview to the series, which catapults you right into a air battle between G.I. Joe and the Red Ninjas! This initial adventure apparently takes place “several years ago…” I do sincerely hope the entire 4-issue limited series doesn’t take place “several years ago” because I was hoping for some bridging between Rise of Cobra and Retaliation. I guess time will tell.
I won’t mirror all the images here, instead you should hit up Comics Alliance for the awesome preview, and be sure to get to your local comic store on Wednesday to buy the full issue and start your G.I. Joe: Retaliation adventures!
