Wow, this is very cool.
With the online G.I. Joe community being around for so long, it’s not often that something truly revolutionary emerges. Well, it has here. Got word via Twitter from CarsonMataxis about a new G.I. Joe fansite on the web… 3DJoes.com.
The site features fully three dimensional galleries of figures and vehicles from G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. So far it’s just 1982, but it is a pretty amazing and cool experience.
Here’s hoping to continues driving forward. I can’t wait to see some awesome 1993 Battle Corps neon in 3D on my computer screen! Check it out right here.

Over the past week there has been a minor barrage of G.I. Joe news, from the Figure Subscription Service to the Canadian JoeCon, but over the next few months, things will probably be at a lull.
Well, what better time to showcase a figure that was initially slated for a final wave of the 30th Anniversary line, but never hit retail? Hasbro has promised us a number of times that they would find a way to get this figure out there, and my conversations with Hasbro at JoeCon made me even more certain of that fact, but to date, this figure has not seen release.
As we’ve gotten used to over the past few years, G.I. Joe collector of pre-production items Gyre-Viper from JoeDeClassified.com has managed to get his hands on this figure, and he was kind enough to let me borrow it long enough to get this review posted. Hopefully it provides an interesting look at a figure that will be hitting retail eventually.

Retirement? Did someone say retirement… as I am in the midst of several 10 – 12 hour days in a row at work that word sounds awful nice right about now…
But enough about real life! Thrust yourself back into your imaginary G.I. Joe filled existence with What’s on Joe Mind Episode 64. We are joined this week by podcasting experts Slick McFavorite and Mrs. McFavorite from the Open Your Toys Podcast where we discuss the critical issues of the day like how to fill your entertainment center with San Diego ComicCon exclusives, whether a gimp suit equals a “vinyl toy”, and where to find the best french-speaking poutine.
