So as I was working through my last post about Action Force and Palitoy, tkprime over at the MS Gulf Coast Collectors’ Club jumped on my Facebook page and reminded me of some very cool diorama projects they have going on using some of the parts and pieces from some old Palitoy playsets.
Using the templates from the Palitoy Death Star and the Action Force headquarters, he has done up some very cool G.I. Joe themed designs for a custom Terror Drome and Adventure Team Headquarters! Designed to be printed on foamcore, or some other rigid material, these can be printed out and built according to included instructions, and the surface scans are VERY high resolution for amazing detail.
These are absolutely insane. A great resource for diorama fans, or even fans of some of those old school 80’s playsets.
I have mirrored a selection of low res images below, just because my gallery can handle all those high-resolution images, but you should absolutely hit the MS Gulf Coast Collectors’ Club forums at the links below to download the original high resolution images! These do not look all that complicated, and they look like they could provide some great display space. So, just as a piss poor capper to what was a pretty cool week in regards to G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club product, Brian Savage sent an email along saying that unfortunately it does not look likely that the Adventure Team figures will be shipped stateside in time for the Convention.
Buuuuummer.
I was looking forward to these figures… looking forward to them quite a bit more than I thought I might be. Ah well, we can spread out the Joe product a bit I guess. Until then, I’ll just continue to fawn over the awesome images.

No, in spite of what folks might think, this is not the official Collectors’ Club cheerleading site… but they have been posting some cool stuff lately, so gotta give them their props when they deserve it!
GIJoeClub.com has posted an awesome mini-gallery of the Adventure Team figures and vehicles, showing each figure in pretty decent detail, some very cool group shots, but a disturbing lack of Dr. Venom coolness. Show him some love!

And wow, do these look gorgeous. Absolutely phenomenal. If someone told me I’d be falling all over myself about 3 3/4″ versions of the Adventure Team, I would have called them nuts, but here they are, and they really look awesome.
The head sculpts, the chosen parts… Dr. Venom! Hell yeah. This is exactly the type of stuff I love to see from the GIJCC. Can’t wait to pick ’em up in Rhode Island in April. Check out the awesome high res images mirrored below, and click the following links to pre-order yours today!

As we get closer to the pre-order date, the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club has shared some more details and images of the upcoming 3 3/4″ Adventure Team figure sets, debuting at the G.I. Joe Convention in Rhode Island this April! Check out the mirrored image of the fantastic looking Land Adventurer below, and the press release immediately following. The Adventure Team 3 3/4-inch Figure Preview is here!
Fort Worth, TX – March 12, 2010 – Fun Publications, Inc., licensee for Hasbro’s official G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club, has released images for the all-new Club Exclusive 3 3/4-inch Adventure Team figure sets, all utilizing 25th Anniversary sculpts!
