New images of Arctic HISS at (ironically) HissTank.com

HissTank has received some very high res, nice clean pics of the upcoming Arctic Hiss w/ Hiss Commander action figure.  While I personally don’t have much use for another HISS, I can’t deny that this vehicle (and figure) looks downright bad ass.  A very nice job, even with only some minor tooling additions.  The Stinger’s an absolute must buy, but this one ain’t so bad itself.  Check out the thread here, and I’ve also mirrored the images below.

Nightly News Recap – DTC Rhino re-issue coming for Rise of COBRA toyline

On the other side of the World, TakaraTomy has revealed a surprising repaint in the form of the DTC Rhino vehicle originally produced for the new sculpt line a few years ago.  To see all of the awesome details of what I think was the best vehicle designed in the past ten years, check out my review here.

This is one fantastic vehicle, and I think it was a brilliant choice for release.  As an added bonus it comes with Rampage, who has some obvious strong Heavy Metal influences.  For folks who don’t know, Heavy Metal was (barely) repainted back in the 80’s as a mail away and released under the name Rampage.  It would appear Hasbro is dipping back into that pool, and the figure has some very strong vintage vibe.  Loving it.  Check out the image below and thanks to Type-R and Shin Densetsu of HissTank.com for the scoop!

Along with the image comes the news that TakaraTomy will be distributing the G.I. Joe: Rise of COBRA toyline over in Japan, which is a great news from an International standpoint.  Could Joe be going global again?  Certainly looks like it.

Nightly News recap – Upcoming figure pictures flood the Internet

Oh.  My.  God.

Yeah…  if this is what’s going to happen every time I take a day off to actually get some work done, I’m going to take a whole lot more days off!  Good grief, the floodgates opened.  I’m not even sure where to start.

First and foremost, Asia blew the doors open with a sudden outpouring of photographs of figures never seen before.  Pretty ironic that we got some Wal-Mart listings yesterday, and now all of a sudden these pictures all start flying over the Pacific.  Whatever the reasoning is, there are a ton of great pics of great new product at a bunch of different places.  You enterpising Joe fans that you are have probably checked them out already, but here are the links anyway:

  • HissTank.com (Resolute Roadblock, Destro, and Wild Bill)
  • The TerrorDrome (A whole lot more including the aforementioned ones, plus a bunch of figures from apparent Wal-Mart 2-packs and vehicle drivers)
  • HissTank.com (the same pic batch as the TerrorDrome ones above)

Loose COBRA Island figures up for sale (with images) on eBay!

eBay seller unitedwell93 has posted up some loose Attack on COBRA Island figures, including Lamprey, Hit n Run, Night Creeper, Dr. Mindbender, Alley-Viper, and Outback.  Check out the auctions here, and the images can be seen in the gallery below.  Keep in mind, these appear to be pre-production items, and they may not be final.

Also of note, is the seller also has an auction featuring the female figure we showcase a few days ago, and this time actually has it labeled as “Dial Tone“.

Thanks to HissCommander from the TerrorDrome for the info!

Some great Hall of Heroes comparison pics at JoeBattleLines

MaxPower over at the JBL forums received his Hall of Heroes figures in the mail, and did a very good comparison/review of the recently released Hall of Heroes single-carded figures.  He breaks them down piece-by-piece and compares them to their equivolent releases already in the Anniversary line.

The in depth thread is here, and images are mirrored below.  Thanks to MaxPower at JBL for the pics!
