New G.I. Joe: Retaliation trailer set to launch April 25th?

Okay, consider this rumor mill material at the moment, but it’s a rumor I’m leaning towards believing.

I think over the past few weeks we’ve seen plenty of Retaliation images leaked on StarkIndustries.ru.  While nobody seems to know exactly where this site originated, they certainly seem to have the connections to get these images before the mainstream sites.

Well, again, thanks to toycollector962 who passed on the word… the Twitter account for StarkIndustries.ru reports that a new G.I. Joe: Retaliation trailer is hitting April 25th.  They Tweeted the following information about it:

“Watched new G.I. JOE trailer. More dialogue, less Seven Nation Army. One epic scene.”

And they also Tweeted the following:

“Studio requested to remove GI JOE posters which were leaked earlier today by Paramount Mexico on local sites. Trailer is coming on April 25”

Should we take that as official gospel?  No.  But judging by their track record, and the fact that a new trailer was listed to the Alberta film ratings website, I’d say the information is probably reliable.  More information as it develops!

Some big G.I. Joe: Retaliation updates in the works?

Consider this just a bit of rumor and a bit of insight, but I would just expect to see some nice G.I. Joe: Retaliation updates in the next week.  Call it a hypothesis, or maybe it’s even wishful thinking, but judging by the barrage of posters, some of them international, and combine that with the fact that Dwayne Johnson and Jon Chu are apparently travelling to Las Vegas to do some G.I. Joe: Retaliation related press, and I think there’s a good chance we could see some new stuff this week.

Also, BCYOJOE from HissTank reported that a new trailer has been submitted to the Alberta film ratings website, which means something is destined for release very soon.  Tough to tell exactly what to expect, but the stars are aligning, I think, so Joe fans should be keeping their eyes open.

Another G.I. Joe: Retaliation character poster… with a twist?

Thanks to The Terror Drome for uncovering this, but apparently JoBlo.com (who was initially supposed to reveal the Lady Jaye character poster) has now revealed a different Lady Jaye character poster than we saw previously.

At this point it’s unknown exactly why the poster is changed, other than perhaps a result of the leak via the foreign site that revealed them all on the early side today.  Regardless, check out the mirrored image in the gallery below, or hit up JoeBlo.com!
