Seemingly from the same source as the earlier Black Sheep Toy Store reports (however, they are not yet for sale) cmderinchief from Coil Club and JoeBattleLines has uncovered a bunch of images of upcoming Rise of COBRA product, including a never-before seen carded Barbecue Toys “R” Us exclusive! These items look to be taken with the same camera as the stuff for sale at Black Sheep Toy Store, so I can only imagine they are destined for the auction block, but have not yet been listed. Details can be found in this thread, and of course, a gallery will be hosted here below. Figures shown in carded form are:

cmderinchief of the Coil Club and JoeBattleLines has once again blessed us with more pictures of upcoming Rise of COBRA action figure product. Regardless of whether or not you like Marlon Wayans as Ripcord (or like him at all) I think this figure is a very solid one! The armor detailing is fantastic, the accessories are cool, and the overall look is great. Sign me up for a Ripcord and Duke tandom once these hit retail!

Kotaku.com has uncovered a little bit of new information regarding the Nintendo DS version of the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA video game. Unlike the console game, which features primarilly a third-person shooter interface, the DS version will be a top down action game with some RPG elements mixed in.
According to Nick Pavlich, associate producer, “The game will share some fundamental designs with the console version… In the DS version you only control one character, there’s a slight RPG element — you can level up, get new weapons and new outfits.”

As these figures start trickling over from the eBay auctions, we’re getting more and more images of the Rise of COBRA Destro. JoeBattleLines stallwart, MaxPower has posted a bunch of pictures on this thread on JBL, and has also graciously allowed me to host the images here as well. Enjoy, and expect a full-fledged gallery and review once I get my own figure in hand.

Ever since ws_toys put up the auction for a supposed single-pack “General Hawk” figure, Joe fans all over the ‘net have been wondering if that’s what or who he really is. The figure looked very “non-Quaid” like and totally different than the Hawk that was coming with The Pit. Well, ws_toys has changed up his auction a bit, and now this same figure is being referred to as “Sgt. Stone”.
Who is this “Sgt. Stone”? Does he have a role in the film, or is he simply a totally new, random character? Is it supposed to be Flint, or some homage to Lt. Stone? This perhaps brings up more questions than answers, but regardless, check out the auction right here and judge for yourself. Images of this mystery character are below.
