MTV.com interviews Channing Tatum about G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA

MTV.com sat down and caught up with Channing Tatum regarding his role in The Rise of COBRA as well as Fighting, a much smaller scale film on the brink of being released to theaters.  In the interview, Tatum mentions he originally wanted the role of Snake Eyes and confirms that the mysterious G.I. Joe commando does indeed stay silent throughout the entire film.

Rise of COBRA figures leaked early to a Wal-Mart in Maine?

Coincidentally enough, this was originally reported on April 1st, so fearing an April Fools’ Day prank, nobody really reported it as an accurate story, but proof seems to have come out confirming that HissTank forum member slowrey has stumbled upon Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow from the upcoming Rise of COBRA action figure line at a local Wal-Mart in Maine, of all places.

Take the news with a grain of salt, and keep in mind this is more likely a mistake than a trend, but apparently, at least two Rise of COBRA action figures have hit the states in mass retail.  Whether more will start trickling out is anyone’s guess, but official “street date” isn’t until July.  However, this board member has supplied HissTank with photos of the receipt and the two figures in question.

We’ll keep you posted.
