Holy crap. You know I wanted to post the following headline: “Absolutely totally mother#$@Q! insane four minute clip” but I decided against it. YouTube user vincent26523 has posted a rather long segment of the Paris Pursuit chase scene from the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA. A word of warning – The clip is in French. But it’s still a helluva fun 4.5 minutes! Stop reading and just watch it already!
The same user has also posted the previously exclusive to Yahoo! Movies clip on YouTube as well. This one is in English.
Toy reviewer extraordinaire Michael Crawford evidently made the trip out to San Diego and took his awesome camera. Sure, the images are a bit later than most other sites out there, but the quality is out of this world. Check out his images on his site here, or peek at the ones I mirrored below.
In what is sure to be great news for most Joe fans (but bad news for those folks who have paid $250+ for this thing on eBay) a carded sample of a G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA Snake Eyes (City Strike) has been uncovered by HissCommander on The Terror Drome. Here he is, Joe fans, with the right head and the right colors!
JoeSightings and JoeBattleLines staff member Werecat must have stumbled across the latest Bravo vehicles on his travels, and has posted some of his educated, insightful thoughts on those two boards previously mentioned. I’ve mirrored his excellent thoughts and images here as well. Click the “Read the rest of the story” link below to check it all out.
I’m sure there are many folks who jumped on the pre-order bandwagon for the 12″ Duke today…well, Sideshow has announced that for the exclusive version of Duke (which comes with a pair of binoculars that the regular version does not) Priority Pre-Orders will begin July 31st.
Click here for the nitty gritty (as well as a very nice gallery of the upcoming figure), or you can also read the specifics after the “jump”.
I reported yesterday about the recently released Rise of COBRA Mission Dossier and mentioned that I was going to try and get myself a copy at the local Borders. Well, I was successful, and I’ve already almost read the entire thing. 140 something pages of Rise of COBRA greatness! Tons of character pictures, lots of behind the scenes stuff and weapon specifications. There are a ton of weapons and gear that the figures come with that don’t seem to have a real identification… well, they do now.
There’s concept art (the original Reactive Armor suit looked a lot like Snake’s “sneaking suit” from Metal Gear Solid 4), and a wealth of really awesome intel packed in there. Of course there are spoilers littered throughout, but it is absolutely worth the fifteen bucks! I’ll be ripping into this thing for the next 2 weeks while eagerly awaiting Rise of COBRA at the theaters.
More cool concept art is the evolution of the Viper helmets. Some of them had some pretty nasty fangs built into the faceplate, further enforcing the fact that they were going for a “snake” look. Trust me on this…if you’re even slightly a Rise of COBRA fan, PICK THIS BOOK UP. It’s really awesome.
