When Hunter PR rep Joe Moscone reported on his Twitter page last night that Hasbro’s SDCC exclusives would be featured on Attack of the Show, I was hoping the video would show up online since I don’t get G4 with my local cable package. Thankfully g4tv.com came through!
They visited Hasbro’s Rhode Island headquarters and give us the scoop on the wide array of goodies Hasbro will have available at SDCC…and yes, the Sarge is front and center. Check out the embedded video below.
I made my displeasure known that I was not able to get my hands on a PoC Alley-Viper during that short window that pre-orders were actually open at HasbroToyShop and BigBadToyStore, and my buddy Gyre-Viper was listening. Not a couple of weeks later, a crispy new packaged Alley-Viper was waiting in my mailbox. After having a somewhat crappy summer vacation, this was the perfect pick-me-up, and I figured it was a perfect way to kick off the GeneralsJoes July Review-A-Rama!
A big thanks as always to Gyre-Viper who helps support the Joe brand, and is an even better buddy than he is a Joe fan. Thanks, man.
Check out the slightly revamped Pursuit of Cobra Review Page, or just hit up the review itself right here.

Yeah, I hope I’m not putting my foot in my mouth.
My family vacation is over, things have slowed down work-wise… so in celebration of SDCC and the upcoming Pursuit of Cobra launch, I am labeling the following three weeks “GeneralsJoes Review-A-Rama!” Patent pending…
For the next three weeks, up to the official Pursuit of Cobra launch on August 1st, I am going to endeavor to post at least one review per day every single day leading up to the launch. That’s right, over 20 reviews throughout the rest of the month! Can I do it? I have no Earthly idea. But I’m at least gonna give it the ole college try.
There will be Pursuit of Cobra stuff, a lot of catch up from The Rise of Cobra, and maybe an unproduced item sprinkled here and there. Heck, even a Blu-Ray DVD! I’m hoping real life is steady enough for the next three weeks to allow for this, if I can do it, I will.
Hopefully this makes up for some of the dead time over the last month or two… G.I. Joe is cranking up for a huge last half of 2010, I want to be along for the ride.
Anyone who wants to submit a guest review is more than welcome… good pics and a grasp of the English language are strongly recommended. Also looking for any input or requests…
Let’s give this a shot!
A mysterious eBay auction has revealed what appears to be a frankenstein figure using Resolute Roadblock’s body with Duke’s head. A listing of “JP Gen” in the auction title (not to mention tampos on the figure’s vest itself) seem to indicate that this figure will be a part of the Jurassic Park line, which has already been revealed as using parts from the Resolute Cobra Troopers (as well as AWE Strikers).
Very cool…of course, knowing our luck this awesome figure will come with some super-expensive playset or something. Time will tell. Hopefully he’ll be easily accessible, this figure could be a great addition to the Joe team as a new character.
Thanks to JoeMama from HissTank.com for the info.
I know there are no images yet, but Hawk MMS over at The Terror Drome reports that he has seen Alpha vehicles Ghost Hawk w/ Tomahawk and the Doom Cycle w/ Storm Rider at a Wal-Mart in California. This marks the first time that the Alpha class vehicles are being spotted at local retail. So at this point we’ve seen the Bravo’s at Toys “R” Us, the Mechs at BBTS and through Diamond Distribution, and now the Alphas apparently at Wal-Mart.
Just one more question…
Where the #$@ are the FIGURES?!? That’s what I’m really waiting for! I’m sure they’re coming, just not soon enough.
