Wait, what? As I prepared for this review, I tried to spend some time getting some insight from various forums and sites, just trying to figure out what people thought of this vehicle and how much they were anticipating it. I was shocked with what I read.
There are apparently a lot of Joe fans out there who don’t like the looks of the new VAMP? Really? Never would have figured. I thought it looked like one of the cooler Joe vehicles to come out within the past several years. Sure, it lacks the nostalgic qualities of the Anniversary retools, but as far as brand, spanking new vehicles go, I was immediately impressed before and after opening the box.
Ah, well… different strokes for different folks. Anyway, whether you like the VAMP or not, check out my review on the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page or right here. You can probably guess what I think of it.
While I had a chance to review Spirit quite some time ago, this is my first opportunity to follow up with the other recently released Toys “R” Us Exclusive… Quick Kick!
Quick Kick has never been one of my favorites, did this new version change my mind any? Check out the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page, or just hit the review directly right here.
A huge thanks goes out to regular GeneralsJoes contributor Mysterious Stranger for chipping in yet again and getting me a review of the recently released Sideshow Collectibles 12″ Firefly. This figure has caused somewhat of a conflict among the fandom, as it doesn’t very accurately represent how Firefly initially appeared, and certainly takes some liberties with the design scheme in the interest of modern realism.
I think the figure looks great, and I think Stranger agrees.

Slowly but surely I’m making my way through the first wave of G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra figures.
Already I’ve got Alley-Viper, Duke, and Beachhead posted, and now I’ve added Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Snow Job. I believe that just leaves Cobra Commander and Firefly, and with my HasbroToyShop order shipping this past weekend, I should be able to get those posted as well.
Just because I’m anal retentive, too, I may move the Beachhead review to pre-production and do my own production level review as well. Hawkwinter did a fantastic job, but I love Beachhead so much I’m itching to get a review in there as well.
Anyway, check out the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page to check out all of the PoC reviews posted to date!
Frequent GeneralsJoes contributor (a feat for which I am endlessly grateful) cmderinchief has posted yet another video review! Not content to cover just one item, though, he does a quick review of the TRU Exclusive Spirit, Quick Kick, the Pursuit of Cobra Duke & Snow Job, and also manages to say some words about the Canadian JoeCon convention sets!
Wow. Check out all the Gary Goodness right below.
As promised, I have wrapped up the reviews for the G.I. Joe: Resolute boxed sets, which can be found linked on the Resolute Review page! Today I added G.I. Joe’s first Army Ranger Stalker as well as Zartan, the Cobra Master of Disguise!
Along with these last two figures, I also posted full review recaps of the G.I. Joe Boxed Set and the Cobra Boxed Set. Enjoy! This has been a whirlwind week of getting these reviews done, but it was fun…
