It all starts today – the new TV Season

As far as I’m concerned, the new TV season officially starts today.  The final season of FX’s excellent series “The Shield” beings airing tonight, and while I don’t see how TV could get much better than that throughout the rest of the year, I am shocked to find that there are actually a number of shows I plan on checking out this year.  Normally my TV slate is pretty few and far between.  I can’t stand sitcoms and don’t do much in the way of prime time dramas…and reality TV?  It’s, quite simply, the work of the devil. A diorama legend…

…and if he’s not, he should be.

Anyone who has read my dio-stories is familiar with the work of “Capolan”.  He frequents JoeCustoms (and not much else Joe-wise) and is an absolute diorama wizard.  I’ve seen many Joe fans in my life who dabbled in art, and some who dabbled VERY well.  Cap is an artist who dabbles in G.I. Joe (and other 1:18 scale items).  He does things in that scale that you don’t see very often.

Anyone who likes my street set, the cabin in the everglades, and the COBRA temple, is already a fan of the great Capolan’s work.   Folks should also check out Spin Doctor’s excellent dio-stories at Checkpoint Alpha to see some more Capolan wizardry.

Anyway, what this is all leading up to is that Cap has launched a new website.  I encourage everyone to check it out and see what he can do with a little foamcore and hot glue.  It’s impressive.

Welcome Mike!

Yeesh, so the blog has been running for all of like 48 hours and already I’ve got a “staff writer”…  :shifty:

Actually, that’s a total misnomer, more like a contributor.  Mike is a regular at several boards throughout G.I. Joe land, primarily JoeSightings and JoeBattleLines, but more importantly he’s smart, he writes well, and he’s a sports fan (as well as a Joe fan).  So that alone gives him 3 checks in the “win column”.  Of course, he loses about forty-three checks for being a Yankees, Colts, and Giants fan, but we can’t all be perfect.
