So, here’s another Storm Shadow. My first Storm Shadow since the infamous “one star” event from a week or so ago. Will this one fare any better? Would I really run another potential bad review to round off our work week? You’ll have to check out my G.I. Joe: Retaliation Page or just hit the link below.
I’ve talked in the past about the awesome Acid Free Gallery prints, and now we’ve got a couple of new Cobra character posters to talk about. Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow prints by Rhys Cooper will apparently be going on sale today at 12:30 Eastern time.
There are regular prints and variants. The standard prints are $50 each, with variants clocking in at $65. Check out AcidFreeGallery.com to pick these bad boys up!
I took a break from figure reviews yesterday and covered Issue #1 of the new IDW G.I. Joe title… but I’m back at the toy review game today with G.I. Joe: Retaliation Wave 2.5 Dark Ninja. When this tooling was first used in the G.I. Joe: Renegades Storm Shadow, I didn’t even hesitate to call it one of the greatest figures that Hasbro has ever done.
Now we’ve got about four or five different figures using this tooling, and while they all maintain the high quality of the original use, as freshness wears off, the impact these figures make is effected. Check out the full review on my G.I. Joe: Retaliation Review Page or at the link below:
Appearing on YouTube, two more International G.I. Joe: Retaliation promotional items have come to light thanks to Paramount International’s YouTube Channel. One of them being a full trailer, and the other being a shorter TV spot. There is a little bit of new footage in each, mostly focused on Lee Byung-Hun who is a superstar in Asia.
The most highlights are in the full trailer itself, which you can see directly below. The shorter, more compressed TV spot is at the bottom. I love the short added scene of Storm Shadow scraping his sword over the desk during the UN sequence. Pretty cool stuff.
As March, 2013 nears we can expect G.I. Joe: Retaliation figures to start hitting harder and heavier. Wave 2 has just started blasting across the country, and I’ve begun the review process. First up in the second wave is Storm Shadow.
Not the most auspicious beginning to the Wave 2 reviews, but for better or worse, you can check him out at the G.I. Joe: Retaliation review page, or linked below.
