Go see G.I. Joe: Retaliation courtesy of GeneralsJoes!

You read that right!  GeneralsJoes and site supporter Gyre-Viper want to send you to see G.I. Joe: Retaliation… on us!  Starting today and running through Friday, March 15th, I have opened a contest to win a free Fandango Gift Card to see G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

It’s really easy, all you have to do is answer five relatively simple questions.  The answers to all five questions can be found on GeneralsJoes.com somewhere.  They might be in a reviews section, they might be in a Dio-Story, or they might be in one of the SuperPages, but they shouldn’t be all that tricky to find, it just requires a little searching.

The official rules and regulations can be found on the Fandango Gift Card Contest Page!

Good luck and Yo Joe!

No going back now – G.I. Joe: Retaliation premieres in Korea!

With what happened last year with the sudden delay in release, I suspect many Joe fans were sitting on pins and needles a little bit waiting to make absolutely certain G.I. Joe: Retaliation would launch as planned March 28th.  Lord knows I’ve seen plenty of jokes floating around about another delay…

Well, in Korea at least the worry has passed!  The film premiere for G.I. Joe: Retaliation is set to run in Korea on March 11th, which is today.  In fact right at this moment, it’s almost 10:00pm Korea time, so there may be folks there watching the movie right now.  I’m jealous of these people.

As proof of the event, check out some of the press images below of the press conference and premiere Q & A.

Amazing new “Mountain Battle” clip from G.I. Joe: Retaliation!

Well, this is a fine wake up call for a Monday morning, especially when my body still feels like it’s an hour earlier.  Entertainment.ie, which appears to be a European film site, has posted an exclusive clip from G.I. Joe: Retaliation featuring the very exciting Mountain Battle at the Arashikage temple!

Yes, there is a considerable amount of footage that we’ve seen, but there is also plenty that we haven’t seen.  It’s only about a minute in length, but it’s an AWESOME minute.

Check it out at Entertainment.ie!  It’s not embeddable, unfortunately, but as soon as there is one to embed, I’ll have it here.

EDIT: Video is now up on Paramount International’s YouTube page, which means embedded goodness!

Twenty days left until G.I. Joe Retaliation and Reason #20 to look forward to it!

We’ve broken the top 20!  Yes, even on a Saturday, Twitziller is at the keyboard pumping these things out, and today he’s got control of a Cobra superweapon!

#20:

From the MASS Device to the Weather Dominator and everything in between, Cobra has always been all about the super weapon.  Some piece of futuristic technology that separates them from their peers and helps drive them towards world conquest.  For a film, obviously they want to stick closer to reality than some of the more outlandish animated series plots.  No Fatal Fluffies here.  The choice of a satellite that launches a space-bound weapon is truly inspired.  Obviously based heavily on the long-rumored Tungsten Rod Cannon, this is the type of “10 minutes in the future” technology that G.I. Joe and Cobra have been built around for the past thirty years, and is a great choice for Cobra’s weapon of mass destruction.

Using this powerful instrument, Cobra not only places a secret agent in the White House, but effectively brings the entire United Nations to their knees.  In other words, this is Cobra at their most sinister.  I love it.

Keep following Twitziller on Twitter for the latest updates, and GeneralsJoes is going to keep posting these, too.  The countdown is hurtling forwards and I for one cannot wait!

Coming Soon interviews G.I. Joe: Retaliation VFX Supervisor

We all latch onto interviews with actors and big names involved with film production, but in many cases it’s the crew that has the best insight.  ComingSoon.net interviewed James Madigan and asked many questions about the visual effects involved within G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

It is a fascinating look into how the ninja elements of the film differ from the military ones and how the entirety of the mountain battle sequence was conceived.

Check out the interview over on Coming Soon.
