Everyone keep their eyes on the Black Sheep Toy Store on eBay, as it would appear some more new items may be en route to being listed there. HissTank.com came across some new images (or at least larger and clearer images) of various upcoming figures, which usually means they are about to appear up for auction. Many of these pictures have been posted before, but these are much larger versions, so I’m repeating some of them, while getting stuff like Destro up for the first time. Also get some nice pictures of an upcoming Lamprey repaint, that seems almost based on the Python Patrol version from Toys “R” Us back in the day. A very cool look.
God I love that Destro figure. If we don’t see that released somewhere, some how, I may just storm Pawtucket with torches and pitchforks.

Wow. HissTank is scoring a coup today with a bunch of great pictures of some upcoming items including some never-seen-before Resolute themed action figures and some better images of Rise of COBRA figures we’ve seen before. News is starting to spread regarding potential G.I. Joe-related San Diego ComicCon exclusives. Officially announced today was a 12″ Baroness with Sienna Miller’s likeness in a striking COBRA-themed display box, as well as a 3 3/4″ Destro 2-Pack. Full details are as follows:

Amongst the glut of Asian-based auctions for upcoming Rise of COBRA figures, eBay seller 300m3560 out of Tauntaun, MA has posted a number of auctions for MOC figures from the Rise of COBRA, including Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, Destro, and Neo-Viper. I inquired as to whether or not these were found in a local store, and the seller confirms that they were, indeed, found at retail.

Ever since Destro debuted on the Black Sheep Toy Store a few weeks ago, many US-based Joe fans have been getting this figure in their mailbox, and now I can count myself in that camp. I took the opportunity to take some pictures of the figure and do up an impromptu review for those interested.
The character of Destro is indellible in the G.I. Joe mythos, and some might argue he is as important to the story, if not moreso, than COBRA Commander himself. He brought a sense of honor and tradition to the super villain role, and successfully walked the line between soulless evil-doer and a man of integrity. Some might say he actually walked that line a bit too well, for being a weapon supplier for terrorists.
