Speaking as someone who has known Fred for a very long time, I’ll say that his reviews, posts, and overall G.I. Joe content has been missed over the past several years. Thankfully, it looks like Fred (AKA LeonardoTDragon) is tossing his hat back into the ring and working to get content roaring back to JoeBattleLines.
For a long time JBL has been a mainstay of the G.I. Joe community and I’m proud to say I used that platform to express my love for Sigma 6 back in the Sigma 6 Central days. I’m thrilled to see Fred bringing some more new reviews to the table, and you should be, too.

Man, the first half of the day seemed relatively uneventful, then all hell broke loose! One of the highlights of today’s news for sure was the announcement that Marauder “Gun Runners” Series 6 weapons assortment has been released!
Unfortunately this series has been fraught with production delays, mostly due to the modular components within the series, but thankfully problems have been overcome, and the weapons have been released and are available for purchase. Series 6 comes with a whopping 33 weapons or weapon accessory pieces for full modular action and whatever the focus of your collection is, you should find stuff to love contained within! Yes, it seems like a very long time since we’ve seen new offerings from the geniuses behind the Marauder, Inc. line of weapons, but it looks like we don’t have to wait much longer. While there were some factory related delays, Marauder, Inc. has started previewing their wave 6 offerings on their Facebook page and holy wow is this stuff looking awesome.
Even more detail than previous waves, awesome modular weapons…lots of good stuff coming from Marauder, that’s for sure.

A scant few years ago, Marauder “Gun Runners” redefined the accessory world for 1:18th scale action figures. Weapons, distribution of M & C diorama accessories, and reaching out to the fans for ideas are things that other companies just hadn’t grasped. I would even argue that Marauder’s excellent weapon alternatives has pushed Hasbro harder to reinvent their own concepts for accesorization and has made the toy world better as a whole.
Now, a few years later, Marauder has done it again, this time with Battle Stands. Hasbro obviously understands the appeal of these items, including them with nearly every single Anniversary figure and Rise of COBRA figure out there, but it took Marauder to do them right. With an absolutely amazingly simple, yet effective design scheme, and some real world collector sensibility behind it, the IDS Battle Stands were born.

Displaying figures came to the forefront with the Anniversary line, as Hasbro started including display stands with every figure. Yet, as with the vintage stands, they are static, rectangular, and just never seem to be the right size to fit every display.
Marauder to the rescue, as usual. There was a special premier of these at JoeCon 2009 last weekend, and now they are up for sale at the site itself. These awesome action figure stands feature a very unique interlocking design to basically build a platform of stands that is extremely versatile and infinitely useful. Not only that, but each stand has a peg for the new Anniversary/Star Wars/Rise of COBRA peg holes, but also has a peg for the vintage style as well. Great stuff.

So it’s been a while since I’ve talked about Marauder “Gun Runners”, and I figure I’m way overdue. I’ve been reading joy all over the internets about finding Rise of COBRA toys, but I’ve also been hearing some complaints about the accessories and the weapon choices. Well, as usual, Marauder can come to the rescue.
It took me like 10 minutes to find guns that totally rock the Rise of COBRA figures, and I’ve showed a very small gallery of those below. Weapons used in the images are:
There are so many other cool weapons that I could have used as well, but these were among the first four I grabbed. Do yourself a favor…if you pick up some RoC figures and don’t like the weapons, take 10 minutes and hit up Marauder…it’ll make your life better!
