Lady Jaye, Roadblock, and Snake Eyes oh my! MSN Movies has revealed three exclusive images from G.I. Joe: Retaliation featuring a trio of our favorite G.I. Joe operatives. Check out these latest images on MSN Movies, or mirrored below.
The production team and PR folks behind G.I. Joe: Retaliation have been doing a fantastic job with the Cobra Special Forces concept, producing very motivational, recruitment-style videos encouraging people to join Cobra, “see the world” and defend freedom.
While we all know the truth behind Cobra, it would seem in the Retaliation world, they don’t know any better. I’m not sure how many new recruits those videos pulled into the fold, but it would now appear that the Cobra truth is revealed! Cobra Commander himself takes to the airways to tell of Cobra’s true calling…
For folks who aren’t following me on Twitter, I announced a short while ago that both GeneralsJoes and What’s on Joe Mind have representatives LIVE and IN PERSON at the London premiere of G.I. Joe: Retaliation! They will be doing interviews and getting us eager G.I. Joe fans the skinny on what to expect when the movie launches on March 28th!
Expect to see GeneralsJoes and the What’s on Joe Mind podcast hoppin’ with great content leading up to the film next week.
I cannot thank Russ and Dave from All the Cool Stuff enough for pitching in and helping out. This is gonna be HUGE.
Good grief, I just might die of anticipation before this movie even comes out…
Digital Spy has posted a very nicely composed G.I. Joe: Retaliation preview/trailer with a good mix of many of the action sequences we’ve seen before. But mixed within these action sequences are some new seconds of footage as well! See a great front shot of the HISS Tank, and Lady Jaye in a sports bra!
One of those may be more enjoyable than the other…it will depend on your point of view.
Check out the trailer at Digital Spy, or embedded below.
I hope you’re listening, Paramount. If I die from anticipation before I see this movie, and you delayed it 9 months, it is YOUR FAULT.
Happy Monday, and we’re going to brighten your Monday lunch with an invasion of a mute ninja commando celebrating reason #11 why G.I. Joe: Retaliation will be great! Twitziller brings the lumber this time, going right to the meat of the G.I. Joe mythology.
#11:
As much as G.I. Joe fans are probably sick of the Snake Eyes infusion, he is a central part of the G.I. Joe mythology, like it or not. If you enjoy G.I. Joe, you will be inundated with Snake Eyes and those folks associated with Snake Eyes. Certainly he played a big role in the Rise of Cobra, and had some very cool scenes as well. I still geek out hard when he jumps on the roof of the vehicle in the Paris Pursuit chase scene… I mean, seriously, who doesn’t love this:
Still, as cool as that sequence was, the whole cliffside battle sequence looks like it could redefine the character. His uniform is 100% better than the first film, and the presence of the Blind Master, Jinx, and Storm Shadow only proves that this character gets some serious focus this time around. As the most popular G.I. Joe character, it only makes sense.
Just dropping a quick line to let everyone know that I have notified the winners of the Fandango Gift Card give away, and have already processed the orders through Fandango.com. The cards should be on their way! If you did not receive a congratulatory email from me, then assume that you did not win, I’m sorry… better luck next time! I was pleasantly surprised at how many folks dug out the right answers.
If you didn’t win, there’s still time to grab one yourself from Fandango.com! They have some great character-based designs. If you’re going to see the film anyway, might as well end up with a cool G.I. Joe: Retaliation collectible while you’re at it, right?
