Now that the 2010 JoeCon is over, lots of folks have been emailing and asking me what’s up with the 2009 Convention Set review…and honestly, I don’t own it. It’s not over some protest to the 25th Anniversary tooling or anything, it’s just the fact that I missed the Convention last year due to the birth of my child, and I just haven’t been able to scare up the funds to buy these items all at one whack yet. Normally, I make a concerted effort to save money aside for the Convention as it approaches, but this time around, I knew I wasn’t going, so stupidly I didn’t stick to my regiment of cash savings in preparation.
Eventually I’m certain I’ll get my hands on these, especially the International Team 3-Pack and the SAS Copter with Blades, as those two items in particular are impressive, to say the least.
Until I get my hands on them, though, regular GeneralsJoes contributor Mysterious Stranger has stepped up to the plate and delivered a great guest review of this set! I love having guest reviewers send their stuff in, but tackling a review of a massive convention set goes way above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks a lot, Chris!
You can find the review linked in the GI Joe Collectors’ Club Reviews section, or you can also find it right here.

Yes, it took me for-freaking-ever, but here it is.
I try to get reviews done as quickly as humanly possible, but when there are so many figures, so many vehicles, so many pictures, and so many things to talk about, well… sometimes it takes a little while. When it comes to my o-ring babies I like to make sure and take as much time as it takes to do the review right.
Of course, if something is screwed up, let me know.
At any rate… over in the GIJCC Exclusives section, I have posted the review (finally!) for the 2010 Convention Set, “Vacation in the Shadows”. It’s a three-page behemoth with over a hundred images and more words than even I like to type. And I’m pretty damn long winded.
Check it out directly right here.

Last week we saw that Adventure Team figures are hitting mailboxes with a furver, and now the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club reports that the figure sets are in stock now at GIJoeClub.com/shop.
If you haven’t gotten ’em yet, what the hell are you waiting for?

If you were wondering why only images of the Land Adventurer and ATV were posted, wonder no longer. Gyre-Viper has lambasted HissTank with over 100 images of the Adventure Team figures, which are looking pretty damn awesome, by the way.
The Venus Flytrap is amazing! Not quite sure how I feel about Venom’s paint-a-tie, but I guess if the Club couldn’t get access to the SDCC Destro, there wasn’t much choice.
Check out the healthy sampling of mirrored images below to make up your own mind.
Don’t forget, you can still order these from GIJoeClub.com!

A few folks throughout the Joe online fandom are reporting getting confirmation of their Adventure Team sets…and as always seems to happen, Gyre Viper is first in line! He has posted a plethora of pictures for the Land Adventurer with the awesome Battle Blitz repaint on HissTank.com, and I’ve mirrored the images below.
My only complaint… how can the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club deny the fury of Battle Luge Guy?! Blesphemy…
I wasn’t a huge fan of the Battle Blitz in the Spy Troops days, but for some reason as an Adventure Team themed repaint, it’s pretty damn cool. And in all seriousness, the crates of weapons rock, even if it means ole BLG is left out in the cold.
Don’t forget, you can still order these from GIJoeClub.com!
