I’ll admit, there isn’t a whole lot of new footage here, but when checking out The Hub this afternoon, there was an advertisement for the upcoming Hubworld “Sneak Peek” that airs this Friday starting at 3:30pm. This special show features a behind the scenes look at the creation of G.I. Joe: Renegades and Transformers Prime.
Again, not a whole lot of new footage, but some interesting pencil drawings and other snippets that folks looking forward to Renegades might enjoy. This has been added to the GeneralsJoes G.I. Joe Animation YouTube Channel.
Check out the embedded video below.
Along with this, I also added the IGN clip “Security Detail” to the channel as well.
A little while ago, I made a recommendation that folks pic up issue #159 of the legendary action figure collectible magazine, ToyFare. Within the pages of that issue was a pretty neat interview with Stephen Davis, the president of Hasbro Studios. Hasbro Studios is essentially working hand-in-hand with The Hub to bring Transformers and G.I. Joe to your TV screen in the 21st Century.
Well, now that the air date of Transformers: Prime and G.I. Joe: Renegades is coming up fast, Wizard Editorial blog site, Pie Monkey has reposted the interview in it’s entirety! Check it out right here.
A big thanks to the Twitter feed of ToyFare editor Justin Aclin for passing along the intel.
IGN is at it again, this time featuring another two full minutes of G.I. Joe: Renegades footage pulled from the two part series premier which airs Friday, November 26th at 5:00pm! Giving us a brief introduction to several of the main characters and a nice peek at some action against the Bio-Viper, we start getting a better idea of what to expect from this new series.
While there certainly seems to be a somewhat humorous element, that’s mostly overshadowed by the action, and even with lasers instead of bullets, the firefight is pretty tense.
I will say right up front that I seriously hope the Bio-Viper does NOT become the defacto Cobra enemy in the series. I don’t mind seeing them appear once in a great while, but if all of a sudden the Bio-Vipers make up the backbone of the Cobra army, I will be annoyed. I want to see plenty of human-on-human combat here, too.

With a big thanks to kennywr22 for pointing out that the MSN TV Listings have been updated with a bit more info on G.I. Joe: Renegades episode 5. “Return of the Arashikage Part 2” has the following description:
“The team regroups and hunts down their attacker.”
Thanks to TVGuide.com, though, we get even more details, including a surprise guest star! I have put it after the break for spoiler purposes, so click the “Read the Rest of this Entry” link below for the full skinny. (more…)
Well, obviously we won’t know for sure until the episodes air, and these just MIGHT be spoilers (especially one key point), so I will post a list of potential episode plot details as I discover them within the G.I. Joe Renegades: Tactics game. I’m going to try like hell do get through the whole thing so I can get as many details as possible.
From what I can tell by the basic storyline of the game, it seems to follow what we know about the Renegades animated series, so there is reason to believe certain events from the game will transfer over to the series.

Straight from IDW, here is a list of solicitations coming from IDW next February. As usual there are a ton of G.I. Joe comics hitting stores that month, ranging from the old school to the next generation. While I wasn’t wild about Agent Helix’s debut in the most recent issue of G.I. Joe, I still look forward to seeing her story evolve…and what the heck is up with “Dark Snake Eyes”? Can we have a stretch of the “Real American Hero” that doesn’t include brainwashing?
While many folks will probably think I’m giddy about the Renegades comics, I’m pretty sure they’re just comic rehashes of cartoon episodes, so no thriller there, in my mind, but I’ll still grab ’em I’m sure.
