Someone made me aware last night that the top progress bar for the camera fund was causing issues with the layout of the blog in Internet Explorer. My apologies! I normally test all changes cross-browser, but for that minor change, I didn’t think it was necessary. Apparently I was wrong!
Ah, well. I got rid of the top progress bar and worked it into a smaller box on the left sidebar, so check that section to see where we stand on the camera fund. Another HUGE thanks to everyone for their contributions!

First of all, I want to repeat and reiterate my thanks and humble acknowledgement for everyone who has felt like it was worth their time and money to kick in some cash to assist with the camera purchase. No matter how much you sent, I owe you one. Do not forget it, and when you need something, feel free to bring it up and guilt me into it. :shifty:

Self-Modifier posted a rather large update to his Transformers/G.I. Joe Volume 3 Dio-Story over on Joedios, so I have mirrored it here in the regular format as I usually do. Enjoy!

I won’t pretend to be a great writer (or even a good one), I know my own limits, after all. But something I can admit to at least being somewhat effective in is presentation. Even if my story or plot is somewhat weak (by my own admission) I can usually zap it up a little bit with some loud colors, big explosions and fancy special effects to supplement the story. In a perfect world, I would be an expert story crafter, but I honestly don’t feel like I am, so if I can “pretty things up” to overcome those shortcomings, I’m all for it. Because I tend to use some more elaborate special effects, I’m often asked how I do certain things or accomplish certain tasks. I really only have one answer all-encompassing answer: Lots of time, lots of “on the job learning” and almost ten years of experience at this point.
