With Haywire hitting theaters shortly, Channing Tatum has been hitting the press junket, and he spoke with Frosty at Collider about not just Haywire, but they also touched a bit on G.I. Joe: Retaliation. According to Tatum, there will be less “laser guns” and much more “boots on the ground”. Good news.

I hope Duke doesn’t die.
Agreed. It’s a waste of a good character due to poor casting. I have never understood the vehement hatred of Duke by a majority of the fandom.
I agree 100%. I think is a great character even though Tatum isn’t the best fit. Hasbro has hung the Joe brand on a few characters such as Duke, CC, SE, and SS. Killing him off just doesn’t seem like a choice that makes any sense. I am looking forward to seeing Flint though.
I’ll respect that.
But like Quantum Leap, now is the chance to set right what once went wrong, in that movie from decades past…
In reality though, the whole modern past decade of GIJOE has been branded to be Duke and Snake eyes, though. I don’t think it’s a death that will happen!
I bet Duke gets captured along with SE. Too valuable of targets for Cobra to just waste.
Isn’t that Duke falling in the well in the trailer? They’ll probably find him in the end and be all, “Hey guys, good news, Duke’s in a coma!”
Then for the next sequel (GI Jo3) Tatum’s poor mumbly acting can be excused by Duke just coming out of a coma.
I thought it was the Rock…
But I would like to jump on the Don’t kill Duke bandwagon. Just think if they make a thrid one, they can kill Flint and replace him with Cpt. Grid-Iron.
