There are certain things that must be present in order for a film to succeed… obviously a good villain is pretty close to the top of that list. Twitziller picks some of those villains to focus on in today’s update. Check it out below.
#24:
I will admit if there is anything I’m not wild about from my first exposure to G.I. Joe: Retaliation so far it would be the Cobra Troopers. Granted, they’re a darn sight better than the Neo-Vipers and Viper Commando’s we got in The Rise of Cobra, but in my mind, Cobra Troopers should be wearing straight blue uniforms and face masks. I certainly understand for the sake of this story, this new look makes sense, and I like the fact that there is a healthy dose of blue throughout the urban camouflage of these troopers.
My minor quibbles about their appearance aside, they certainly seem to be an imposing force serving as the arms of the Cobra cause. Looking forward to seeing them in action.

I really wish that Hasbro would release Cobra Trooper figures, as shown in the movie. Frankly, I’m surprised that they’re not!
They are. Wave 3. Coming in May. https://generalsjoesreborn.com/wp-content/gallery/gijoe-retaliation-toy-superpage-take-3-wave-3/37_CobraCombatNinja.JPG
Thanks! These look great! I’ll be army building these, unless they come in a boxed set.
OK, it’s a Cobra Combat Ninja, so not technically an updated trooper, like I originally thought. I forgot about this one when it was shown several months ago. Supposed to be a single pack figure, so I still plan on army building these, but I have a feeling they’ll be hard to find, like the G.I. Joe Trooper.
Thanks! That trooper looks great! I plan on buying a few of these for sure.
Agree completely about the troopers. A damn sight better than RoC troopers, but it’s hard to imagine anything worse. A balaclava underneath the helmets would up the cool–and nostalgia–factor considerably. One thing I noticed: the area of the helmets cut out to expose the trooper faces sorta resembles the shape of Viper face shield. Wouldn’t it be dope if in some scene the troopers were fitted with face plates? (It could be explained as being for night vision or sumthin’) Would make an awesome visual!
