Thanks to Entertainment News International for pointing out via LA Times that several studios have lined up advertising for the upcoming Super Bowl, which is notorious for being the largest source of advertising for the entire year.
One of those movie studios is Paramount, and thinking among industry insiders is that the featured film will be G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
This has not yet been confirmed, but it certainly seems likely. Time will tell if any new footage will be shown, but let the countdown begin again!
Thanks again to ENewsI and the LA Times for the information.
I hope it has some new scenes that we havent seen yet.
Let’s see what Paramount has in the pipeline and narrow down the options…
Titanic 3-D
Madagascar 3
Avengers (they are still partnering with Disney for distribution I believe)
G.I. Joe Retaliation
World War Z
Star Trek just started production this week so I doubt we’d get anything more than a logo teaser and for $4 million for 30 seconds that’s a damn expensive teaser.
Given the male skewing audience for football I’d say it’ll probably be Avengers, G.I. Joe or World War Z. Avengers is probably a shoe-in given the success of the Marvel movies but if they get more than one spot I can see them debuting the Joe trailer on network TV during the Super Bowl.
