Over the past week we’ve received some conflicting information about upcoming releases from G.I. Joe: The Pursuit of Cobra, but it would appear that things have somewhat ironed out. Several online retailers including Big Bad Toy Store, Entertainment Earth, and Small Joes have received information from Hasbro that seems to finally confirm what waves 3 and 4 for 2011 will consist of. This is how it shakes out:
2011 Wave 3 (AKA “Wave 5”)
- Blowtorch
- Cobra – The Enemy
- Cobra Commander
- General Hawk
- Jungle B.A.T.
- Steel Brigade
2011 Wave 4 (AKA “Wave 6”)
- Snake Eyes Temple Guardian
- Crazy Legs
- Croc Master
- Rock Viper
- Viper
- Iron Grenadier
To pre-order, make sure to visit Small Joes, Big Bad Toy Store (wave 3 and wave 4), or Entertainment Earth (wave “5” and wave “6”). Now, just to get some pictures! Keep your eyes peeled to GeneralsJoes.com next weekend as I visit New York City and attend the 2011 Toy Fair!

Over the past couple of weeks, much of the attention of the internet world has been on G.I. Joe: Cobra (and rightfully so). It seems somewhat strange to have G.I. Joe’s flagship title somewhat lost in the shuffle, especially when it promises to end with a pretty large bang.
Snake Eyes and Helix find themselves in Station 0, neck deep in Cobra. How can they fight their way out? Read the full review after the jump.

Or ask Canada as the case may be… :shifty:
Over on HissTank.com, a user by the name of Super Beast noticed a Wikipedia entry for G.I. Joe: Renegades that presented an episode order far different from what we saw over here in the United States. It is widely believed that the original airings of the episodes of G.I. Joe: Renegades stateside were mixed and matched, probably in order to accommodate the Homecoming 2-Parter airing on Christmas Eve. Well, in Canada, the show didn’t start airing until after Christmas, so with no worries about Homecoming, it would certainly appear that Canada is airing the Renegades episodes in the corrected order. So far, in Canada, episodes have aired in the following order:
- Descent – Part 1
- Descent – Part 2
- Rage
- Dreadnoks Rising
A quick glance at the Canadian TV Guide page reveals that the next two episodes are:
- The Package
- Return of the Arashikage Part 1
Obviously, we can assume Part 2 will follow that. So, for those Renegades freaks (like me) who want to know exactly what order the shows are going to appear in, I would strongly advise checking TVguide.ca on a regular basis to see how the episodes lay out. That should clear the air considerably! I will say, I’m not 100% convinced that the Wikipedia entry is spot on. I think there could potentially be a couple more episodes that were produced prior to Homecoming, but this is a great start nonetheless. Thanks again to Super Beast for noticing this.
