SNAKE EYES from HissTank.com is reporting that Diamond Comics has posted images and release information for the upcoming first assortments of G.I. Joe: The Pursuit of Cobra. We knew that these would be coming out in the “fall”, which in toy retail world means in time for the August shelf resets. Diamond is saying their release dates for all of these first assortments is July 28, 2010.
While we were all pretty comfortable knowing that these toys were coming, it’s awesome to see an actual physical release date. Check out the mirrored images and details below.

Fans can choose from Duke (Version 5), Storm Shadow (Version 5), Cobra Commander (Version 2), Alley Viper, Snake Eyes (Version 5), and many more. Blister card packaging. Estimated ship date: 7/28/10

i’ll get them as i find them but im really excited about the machs
This July 28th wave is GREAT, imo. Duke, Beachhead, Alley Viper, and Snow Job are all must haves, and the vehicles have me very interested as well.
Really, really love the carded singles in this wave.
Not impressed by anything else. The Avatar mech is a much better mech IMHO.
Absolutely fantastic first wave. I’m not very psyched about the Mechs but will buy them just to have the figures and because this whole Pursuit of Cobra line is fairly small so far, there is a certain part of me that is screaming complete collection!
Now given the fact that we’ve already seen an Elite Ice-Viper, and the packaging of the HISS tank shows Desert Vipers, and wave 1 and 2 each have one Cobra trooper, first is the City one; Alley-Viper and the second is the Jungle one: Jungle-Viper, I’m going to go out on a limb and say there are four waves total in this line plus all the exclusives we are no doubt getting and waves 3 & 4 will come out early 2011 with one having a Desert Viper and the other having the Elite Ice Viper.
This upcoming weekend we will see what’s what (I hope).
If there really is a second movie coming summer 2011 I can’t see the line going any longer than February or March of 2011 anyway. Then focus will shift to the next movie line.
REALLY hoping we get packaged pics from the Con.
