Thanks to the guys at HissTank who have found a nice box shot of the two “Rip Attack” vehicles first revealed at JoeCon. The vehicles are the Jetstorm Cycle w/ Snake Eyes and the Tiger Snake w/ Street-Viper. As I reported earlier this month, we also got a very good look at the art shown here in the last issue of the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club newsletter.
The figures appear to be Snake Eyes v.1 from the Rise of Cobra line, and a fairly straight-forward Elite-Viper renamed as the Street-Viper. It’s tough to tell in these pictures, but the larger images in the newsletter show the Street-Viper to be an almost black repaint base figure with a nice silver armor. I actually think the Tiger Snake looks pretty sweet, even with the wacky zipcord action. Check out the image mirrored below.
These look neat, but can the figures be removed? Putting some of my extra 25A Vipers in the Cobra one would be interesting.
Let me clarify that last statement, are the figures supposed to be glued into the vehicles?
Ignore both of the previous posts. I was not looking closely enough at the pics. Sorry about that.
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhooooooooooo! more shit to clog the shelves.
Oh, those remind me of the helicopters from way back when (’90 or so). Those were great, they really flew high. My poor heli-viper got so messed up skidding along the street. I’d buy one of those in a heartbeat, the motorcycles not so much.
I’m super pumped that these toys that no one will buy didn’t get the axe like those awesome alpha vehicles did.
So Hisstank owns the vehicles?
I never really paid attention to the battle copters back in the day, I think they would be fun, as these rip cord style vehicles would be kinda fun, too.
I won’t buy them, though.
These will surely be cancelled as well, no more crappy toys, whoooooo!
