So it’s times like this that I really wish I had some sort of forums attached to the site, but instead, I’ll just piggy back on my “Sister Site”, JoeBattleLines. The guys and girls over on JBL have been having some great discussions about the Rise of COBRA leading up to the release of the film, and I fully expect some nice, respectful, educated debate now that the film has hit and everyone has their own .02 they want to share. Check out the following links to discuss this with fellow fans!

Over the next few days I’ll be spending some serious time over there talking about the movie and enjoying the conversation!
Thanks, but no thanks. I avoid internet debates like the plague, especially ammong toy collectors and sci-fi/genre fans. It’s never pretty.
As for the movie, LOVED IT!!! If this didn’t do it for you, then I don’t know what would.
The only gripe I have is with Hasbro. The movie busts out all these kick-a– vehicles, and it seems all the Has’ is giving us are cheap redeco’s.
Loved the film as well, but feel like Mako here, talking to other Joe fans about stuff like this has gotten bloody at times. People are very sensitive about their Joe mythos….lol.
What are you looking for Mako? Night Raven. Check. Cobra Gunship. Check. Dragonhawk Apache. check. Rockslide. Check. Mole Pods. Check. Hummer. Check. The only things really missing right now are the underwater stuff and there seem to be a few of those coming out as well.
It’s almost like Hasbro didn’t have enough faith in the movie line to sink any real money into the vehicle collection.
Still, I’m hoping we’ll eventually get the real Rhino (the Humvees Duke’s boys tool around in), the real Panther (the smaller trucks in Duke’s convoy), the Spider (Stone’s bike), the Brawler van, and do I even have to mention the Howler? Change the names if necessary, just get them out there!
You can call me crazy, but i feel like the movie was more “sigma 6” style than “a real american hero” why? simply: snake eyes had a spec-ops suit with cargo pants, just like the “ninja showdown” pack, they all had this futuristic suits, just like the sigma suits, snake eyes white cold-weather suit? just like the one that came with timber? oh, and his wrist communicator? and let’s not forget about their training area, and obviously, sgt. stone? what do you think?
Neon Viper, I am admittedly a Sigma fan, but nonetheless, I think the things you cite are just a sign of the times where modern movie making is concerned; everything must be high tech.
As for what I thought:
