Over on HissTank.com, a member has posted some images of pre-production items, including something I haven’t seen before…maybe I’m just out of the loop, though.
Anyone seen this? Looks like some type of minisub, probably something COBRA or G.I. Joe uses in the underwater battle we’ve seen and heard so much about…
Regardless of where it’s slated to appear, it looks pretty bad ass.
Looks about Bravo sized; maybe it’ll include a Secto-Viper? Or an Undertow?
In any case, once that is cast in darker colours, it’s probably going to look awesome.
Of course you think it’s bad ass. It’s bright neon green! 😉
I actually like the lines of the thing. Just don’t see any breaks for a cockpit canopy. Unless it’s on the bottom. Like Fred said, if it’s made in different colors I’ll buy it. Hell I’ll buy it anyway. I loves me some sea vehicles.
Oh, it will be made in darker colours. This thing is obviously a “what plastic do we have laying around” test shot, like that Snow Cat from a few months back, or those Star Wars ones that are regularly on eBay, or any number of old GI Joe test shots that have been leaked over the years.
The movie toyline, while using bright colours at times, has largely used those colours either for missiles (to keep them easy to find when you fire them off into the lawn) or as accent details, usually to tie it to the movie’s nanoweapons. Figures/vehicles themselves are made in semi-realistic, darker colour schemes.
Oh, and the cockpit opens away from the camera. About 4 cm away from the front end, there’s a break, and the hinge is opposite the little finger notch right next to the missile launcher.
