Videogame supersite IGN got a chance to have a hands on with the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA at E3, and they’ve reported mixed results. Greg Miller writes”
“Really, that’s all there is to say about Joe. You just go through the levels mowing everything down. If you’re playing by yourself, you can switch characters at anytime while tackling the game’s three difficulties; there are going to be 20 missions with about two to five sections in each mission; and dialogue pops up in text boxes with the speaking character’s image (there are no voices for the conversations).”
Sounds like some typical licensed fare, but I still think for the Joe fan in us, there may be some things to enjoy. Guess we’ll find out in July. To check out the article click here.
Big thanks to JoeBattleLines for breaking the news!
Saw it at E3 today…looks fun! But yeah, lots of run-and-gun, which is just fine. Stalker popped up in transmissions with his Resolute dreadlocks. Can play as Shipwreck, and Polly flies with you, dropping grenades on far-away enemies on command. Each character had different weapons. I…didn’t see much. Folks were hogging the machine, but it looked like some good fun, and moved at a good clip.
