Film review website Dark Horizons got a chance to catch a special five-minute screener of footage for the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA motion picture. The screener appears to have been a mish-mash of various footage expanded from the Super Bowl teaser with some other new scenes mixed in here and there.
Reports from the site are mixed, labeling it as “…it is what it is. a Stephen Sommers film.” They also describe is as being “as subtle as a sledgehammer”. However they also report that most of the screener was just quick cuts of action scenes, no real dialogue, but I have a sneaking suspicion that’s probably what the movie will end up being as well.
Regardless, some very interesting tidbits, which you can read for yourselves right here. Thanks to Shin Densetsu and Counterpoint of HissTank.com for the information.

Given the format of Resolute, that people are expecting it to be much more than the same this seems like overreaching to me. 5 Minutes ‘episodes’ for an action based series doesn’t leave much room for dialogue. And most of that dialogue time will probably end up getting gobbled up by Ellis’s technofetishism.
