It’s G.I. Joe Kre-O Week at GeneralsJoes! First review – Mini Figures Wave 1

I’ve been thinking about how to structure and organize these reviews, and I decided that there really wasn’t enough detail to break the reviews of wave 1 down to individual figures.  They were much better tackled as a whole.  I’m sure folks will let me know if they’re not happy with that format.

Throughout the rest of this week I will endeavor to cover every G.I. Joe Kre-O set that’s been released so far!  It might be too tall an order, but I’m going to give it my best shot as we roll towards the theatrical release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

New G.I. Joe Kre-O SuperPage has been launched!

I’ve been considering this page for a while, and in fact had most of it drawn up shortly after Toy Fair, but with the recent collector craze over these little guys, I figured it was time to get this thing rolled out here.

On the SuperPage you’ll find a wave-by-wave break down of the Kre-O figures with all of the press images, and the known codes for the blind bags.  You can find it in the SuperPages menu up above, and also directly at the link below:

On this page you’ll also find a ton of images from Toy Fair 2013 featuring most of the Wave 1 Kre-O items, and even the build sets from Wave 2!  Enjoy!

Alexx on JoeBattleLines single-handedly convinces me that Kre-O are must owns

This is hilarious.  I’m a big fan of Alexx’s reviews over on JoeBattleLines, JoeSightings, and other places around the web, and he really nailed it with his recent reviews of the G.I. Joe Kre-O product.

He was able to get his hands on some recent offerings, and posted one huge mega review featuring Alley-Vipers, Rock n Roll, the VAMP and Serpent Armor playset, etc…  the result is an awesome plethora of great pictures and hilarious commentary.  For some reason these Kre-O guys suit his sense of humor perfectly.

Check out his full review on JoeBattleLines.

Are you hunting Kre-O? This code breakdown should help!

A short while ago I posted a  breakdown of the unique codes on the back of the Kre-O blind bags to help folks who are looking for a specific figure concealed within those blind bags.  The code breakdown was courtesy of HissTank.com and should be very helpful to folks trying to find that fuzzy headed Joe Colton or Quick Kick with authentic FUGEE bar!

I’ve been seeing some folks out there who must have missed the post the first time around, so I’m getting it back out on the front page here.  Bookmark this one, boys and girls!  Check out the blind bag codes below:

  • 23401 75 Alley Viper
  • 23401 76 Cobra Ninja Viper
  • 23401 77 Cobra Trooper

Press Release offers information and insight for G.I. Joe Kre-O

I know this has been out there on other sites already, but my travel back from Las Vegas interrupted my site focus a bit, but I’m posting the full press release below.  I think most of us figured out how the Kre-O initial release was going to work based on the image names and the information gleaned from the NYCC presentation.

It looks like much of the components here are reused elements from the Battleship Kre-O line, but I think most would agree that the main draw here is with the vintage themed Kreons, I would certainly agree with that.  Hate to say it, but those little guys are really growing on me.

Anyway, check out the full Press Release after the jump, and learn the names of the sets, release details (Blind bags!) and when to expect these at your local Toys “R” Us.  I’ve also inserted the required images to give a better lowdown of what set comes with what items.
