G.I. Joe Collectors Club pulls the curtain back on FSS Quarrel

Following up with the awesome carded mock up of Big Boa, the G.I. Joe Collectors Club has posted a great article about Quarrel, slated to be an installment in the Figure Subscription Service.

There are some terrific close up pictures as well as a nicely detailed write up over at GIJoeClub.com.

Check it out!

Great article, but it makes me want an updated Hunter even more.  Imagine a PoC Cobra Trooper with Officer web gear done up as the SAS trooper?  That would be pretty awesome…

G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club April Newsletter Sneak Preview!

With both the March and April newsletters running behind schedule, the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club has posted a terrific sneak preview of their upcoming April issue on GIJoeClub.com!

I’ve gone on record saying that the newsletter has been hugely improved as of late, mostly pointing to the excellent comic contained within, featuring very cool cameos by many familiar GIJCC universe characters.  Looks like this continues on in April, where we see a great preview page of the comic featuring Nano-BAT, Footloose, Jammer, Gaucho, Quarrel, and Sparta!  An awesome selection of GIJCC themed designs, and I love seeing them in comic book form.  This is pretty much what I envisioned when I produced the dio comics for the newsletter a few years ago, but unfortunately my own schedule prevented me from continuing past 3 story arcs.  I commend the folks doing this comic for doing some great work here.

Check out the sneak preview on GIJoeClub.com!

UK G.I. Joe and Transformers Fan – Roll Out Roll Call us around the corner!

Why haven’t I talked about this sooner?

Folks following the What’s on Joe Mind podcast no doubt know that we are the official podcast of Roll Out Roll Call, which is a UK-based G.I. Joe and Transformers convention threatening to take the world by storm.

Whether you’re a Joe fan, a Transformers fan, or an Action Force fan, there will be a LOT to love about this upcoming convention.  Great guests include Larry Hama, Robert Atkins, Simon Furman, Andrew Wildman, and many, many others!  Robert Atkins will be doing an exclusive Action Force print, and there will even be some very nice convention exclusive toys available.

This is a show you do not want to miss.  What’s on Joe Mind will be representing at the show, thanks to Gary, but even those of us who are stuck in the US for Visa or parole related reasons (I’m looking at you, Chuck) have a lot to look forward to.  For all of the nitty gritty details, keep hitting up All The Cool Stuff which will provide any and all updates leading to the March Convention.  You can also click the Read the Rest of the Story link below for more convention details.

Z-Force Silver Mirage motorcycle is the Convention Attendee Freebie!

As feet are starting to hit the ground in Providence, early reports from the Twitter feed of TNI and the Coil Club are reporting that the Convention Attendee freebie item this year is a green “Z-Force” Silver Mirage motorcycle!
The Silver Mirage was initially retooled for a 25th Anniversary release with Chuckles, but was cancelled.  Chuckles got moved onto the Attack on Cobra Island 7-Pack, and apparently the Silver Mirage is now a new ride for Z-Force.  This is very cool news to me.  While no images have surfaced as of yet, the news itself is good.
Keep your eyes on GeneralsJoes, I’ll be hitting Providence myself tomorrow and will try and get as much intel and images out as humanly possible.
