As more information continues to trickle out, I’m doing some needed revamping to the Rise of COBRA Toy SuperPage. In the past couple of days I’ve made the following changes:
- Added images for every single assortment, most of them carded
- Separated “Collection 2” into the two separate waves based on retailer information from JoeSightings.com
- Added various items for Exclusives, Vehicles, etc…
- Added some Speculative listings for potential future items that have yet to be confirmed.
Check out the SuperPage here! Thanks to everyone who has offered some help, and please let me know if there are any missing pieces.

In celebration of the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA motion picture, GIJoe.com has launched a contest to “Join the Team”! This contest is for children aged 6 – 12 (or in Germany aged 7 – 12) and gives the child the opportunity to join the G.I. Joe or COBRA team and create a unique character for themselves. Entries will be judged, and the winners will receive custom figures of themselves as a 3 3/4″ G.I. Joe figure! Click here to go directly to the contest page.
While us adult collectors are out of luck, pass the word onto your kids, your relatives, or anyone else and join the fun!
Official rules can be read below the jump.

JoeCustoms administrator Pluv has announced a contest on the site to encourage folks to send in G.I. Joe related customs for the custom archive. Contest details are below:
“For every custom that you submit during the month of July that gets greenlit for the Gallery, your name will go into the hat for one (1) of three (3) $20 cards* to go see the GI Joe movie on August 7th. I want to stress that the custom must meet the submission guidelines in order to be greenlit. If your custom is denied for not following the guidelines your submission will not count.
*Your choice of movie theater gift card, or Fandango gift card, or Paypal.”
Check out the full details here, and get working on submitting those customs! See G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA for free!

I’m trying something a bit different, let me know if it’s useful and/or interesting…I’ve updated the drop down menu above with an entry called “SuperPages”. There’s one entry in there right now for “The Rise of COBRA movie”. Essentially this page sorta centralizes the information so that folks can have quick access to interesting content on that page. The Rise of COBRA movie superpage right now has all of the various TV spots and Trailers all in one spot as well as links to the official website, the IMDB entry, and various movie and fansite sections for the links.
You can find the Rise of COBRA SuperPage right here.
Is this helpful to people? Any other “SuperPages” you’d like to be considered? Or was this a waste of my Father’s Day morning? :shifty:

Am I the only one who feels somewhat strange writing that? “Happy” Memorial Day?
I’d like to think that as G.I. Joe fans, most of us have a special appreciation and insight into the military, and as such, perhaps we are more cognizant of the American soldiers here and abroad, and what they do for all of us. So as you have your cookout, enjoy your day off, or just waste spend some time surfing the web for G.I. Joe news, you take at least a few minutes and think about just what was given up to give us these small freedoms that we all enjoy.
To those folks I know in the military, and to all of those that I do not, I’d like to take just a second to say “thank you”. Hopefully many others will do the same.
