Pursuit of Cobra Ice Cutter in hand images from ACToys

My initial reaction to the Ice Cutter was one of “meh”…it didn’t do a whole lot for me, and I’m not big on arctic vehicles anyway, but I’m slowly coming around.  For some reason it has a very vintage feel, I love the deco, and the way the treads move is pretty unique and cool.
The Snow Serpent is… okay, I guess.  Very similar to the Toys “R” Us deco, but with a red parachute pouch instead of blue, he fits in nicely with the Ice Viper Elite’s, that are now unreleased.  Still, the Arctic Threat Destro has some nice red elements as well that ties everything together.  Updated images from ACToys.net also show off some pretty cool detail like the super-poseable cannon and the awesome frosted windshield.  Check out the mirrored images below, and thanks to The Terror Drome for pointing them out!

GeneralsJoes reviews Pursuit of Cobra Doom Cycle and Ghost Hawk

Hot on the heels of reviewing the Pursuit of Cobra Mech Suits, I’ve posted reviews for the two Alpha vehicles released in wave 1 of the Pursuit of Cobra.  With a pair of new characters using limited new tooling, will these smaller scale vehicles fare better than their Rise of Cobra counterparts?
Check out the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page to find out, or hit the links below.

Great new images of upcoming PoC figures – Jungle Viper!

The Terror Drome has been doing a great job getting samples of upcoming Pursuit of Cobra figures…with Wave 1 slowly making its way to retail and Wave 2 in the wings, they’ve posted two more albums in Scoop’s Dark Room for the upcoming Jungle Assault “Tornado Kick” Snake Eyes and the much dreamed for “Jungle-Viper”.
I know everyone is in love with that Jungle-Viper…and he’s cool and all, but the pictures that excite me the most are the ones without his clunky wing armor.  While that certainly looks flashy, I like my figures able to be posed and “played with” and versatile, and with all of that plastic mess all over him, I don’t see how that’s possible.  Let’s hope with a little streamlining, he still makes for a cool Cobra jungle trooper.  Check out the links and the mirrored images below.

GeneralsJoes reviews the Pursuit of Cobra Mechs

Although I already have a nice number of Pursuit of Cobra items posted on the PoC Review Page, this begins the more official kick off of my Pursuit of Cobra reviews!  Some of my previous reviews are based on pre-production items, or items I acquired prior to retail release, but the Mechs signify the first items I’ve bought from regular retail.  Expect to see reviews continue full steam ahead until the first allotment of PoC greatness has been covered.

G.I. Joe: Operation HISS Webisode 7 Online

Hot on the heels of the Pursuit of Cobra revamp of GIJoe.com, Hasbro has also posted the latest installment of their much maligned Operation: HISS animated series.  Check it out right here, and I’ve also grabbed some screen caps below.

Obviously the producers here know some of their past G.I. Joe history, with a nice little tribute to the Silent Issue…  it still amazes me that these webisodes are so short, though.  Tough to tell a decent story in 2 minutes.
