Low-Light is real…and he's spectacular

Man…  just when I’m starting to get over the awe of the Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 Snake Eyes, and the guys over at ACToys go ahead and post a run of images for the upcoming Wave 4 Low-Light.
How the hell do the Hasbro designers do it?  Especially the Joe designers?  They are in a league all by themselves…with respect to other Hasbro properties, and maybe I’m biased, but it even seems compared to stuff like Marvel Universe and Star Wars, the G.I. Joe line is just blowing the doors off with the level of sculpting, detail, and accessories built into nearly every figure.  I’m damn near speechless, and anyone who knows me knows that doesn’t happen often.

GeneralsJoes Reviews Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 Snake Eyes

Okay…yesterday’s review of Storm  Shadow was painful for all of us…I just couldn’t let that be the only review of Wave 3 Pursuit of  Cobra figures for any longer than absolutely necessary.  I figured I started with one extreme yesterday, so I’d plunge right into the other extreme here.
It’s unfathomable to me that this figure and Storm Shadow are even part of the same toyline, not to mention the same exact WAVE of figures.  Unbelievable.
Anyway, check out the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page, or click the link below to check out the review.

GeneralsJoes Reviews Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 Storm Shadow

Well, it feels like forever since there were new toys to review!  I’ve spent so much time with G.I. Joe: Renegades, that I felt it only appropriate to get these Pursuit of Cobra reviews out as soon as humanly possible to avoid fandom revolt for folks who are sick and tired of the latest G.I. Joe animated adventures.
My goal is to post one review per day of Wave 3 from now until Friday.  First up is Storm Shadow…  yeah, I’m starting with him.  It can only get better from here, right?

G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 Images

While I eagerly await the arrival of Wave 3 of the Pursuit of Cobra figures (slated to appear on my doorstep tomorrow), GeneralsJoes reader Nikolai has done us all a favor and taken some great pics for the site!
Check them out below.  These figures look awesome.  The cartoon is all well and good, but it’s been too long since there were new toys to talk about.

A big thanks to Nikolai for taking these pictures!  Hot damn I can’t wait until tomorrow afternoon.  Snake Eyes and Shock Trooper alone may put me into anaphylactic shock.  With Renegades following up on Friday afternoon, this will be a great week for G.I. Joe.

G.I. Joe: The Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 pre-orders processing at BBTS!

Oohhh boy!  It’s that time again!  While we had a couple of months off, BigBadToyStore has just sent along notification to me that my pre-orders for G.I. Joe: The Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 are processing!
This means the items are in stock and ready to ship.  And if they’re hitting BBTS, they should start hitting everywhere shortly.
Wave 3 consists of:

  • Duke
  • Snake Eyes
  • Storm Shadow
  • Cobra Shock Trooper

And yes, while Duke, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow are getting ridiculous with the sheer number of releases they have, these particular versions (well, of Duke and Snake Eyes, anyway) certainly look very cool and worth an additional purchase.
Look for reviews to hit shortly after I get ’em in my meaty paws.

New images posted for Pursuit of Cobra Wave 4

With Wave 3 on the horizon, images are starting to leak out for the upcoming fourth wave of G.I. Joe: The Pursuit of Cobra. Featuring Lowlight, Destro, Shadow Tracker, and Skydive (and notoriously devoid of Dukes, Snake Eyes, or Storm Shadows) this wave looks fantastic.  Granted, many folks already got their hands on the Skydive figure through backdoor means as Desert Battle Ripcord, but for those who haven’t, he is one of the best figures in the Pursuit of Cobra line.  Add to that this awesome Destro, the absolutely amazing Lowlight, and of course Shadow Tracker, and you have a wave that pretty much hits a home run with every single figure.
Great stuff.  Thanks to Corey Stinson of SmallJoes.com for the info!
