Sideshow Collectibles celebrates the last day of Toy Fair 2009 with an announcement of an upcoming 12″ Storm Shadow and more “specialized” COBRA Troopers. The story has been posted on Sideshowtoy.com and the photo has been mirrored below. A big thanks to meeko on HissTank.com for the news.
It should be noted in the photo below as well that there appears to be a different COBRA Trooper, one with tan webgear and a red facemask. It would appear that this version might be the Sideshow Exclusive version of their Trooper that has yet to be revealed.
Big thanks to The Terror Drome for pointing out the following video from E! Online, which showcases a few Transformers and G.I. Joe toys, including the Night Raven and The Pit:
A pretty cool looking set, I have to say. I was very lukewarm on it when I first saw it a couple of months ago, but it has really grown on me over time. The COBRA Trooper and Officer are both unique in a good way (though I would have loved to have them in bluer colors). I’ve gone on record with how much I love the B.A.T. as well. COBRA Commander is all right, but Duke definitely steals the show by a wide margin. I love the colors, love the accessories, love the overall look. Very “Sigma 6” which is a good thing in my book. Looking forward to getting this set in hand.
We’re on the cusp of Toy Fair 2009, and cmdrinchief from CoilClub has come through with some larger and more close up pictures of that wave of packaged movie figures including Breaker, Heavy Duty, Ripcord, Scarlett, Shipwreck, Viper Commando, and Zartan! Huge thanks as always to Gary! You can check out the gallery below, or check out the images at their original source, over on CoilClub.com!
Also, we’ve got a metric ton of more movie pictures as well, including a bunch of vehicles and a lot of pictures of Shipwreck to boot. Some great stuff leading up to Toy Fair.
