When I saw GeneralsJoes friend Twitziller post about an experiment using specialized magnets to post and display his G.I. Joe figures, I knew immediately that I wanted to showcase this information on GeneralsJoes.
An ingenious idea, and I’m very happy that he has taken the time to write this guest article for the site. Big thanks to Twitziller, if you don’t already follow him on Twitter, you definitely should, he’s funny and he supplies some great G.I. Joe conversation. Check this great article out below.

G.I. Joe fan loves to display their figures and, since 1983, we’ve been able to do so with the assistance of Hasbro’s display stands. First available in the Battle Gear Accessory Packs of the 1980s ARAH line, the first stand was a simple rounded rectangle of plastic featuring one peg that fit tightly into the peg hole in the heel of almost every figure. This stand then became a standard accessory for single-packed figures from the early 1990s through the early 2000s, before being retired during the “New-Sculpt Era”…

At least in my neck of the woods, Sears isn’t a place you normally check to find toys. Because of that, I’m thankful that skywarpped from HissTank.com was perusing Sears.com and stumbled upon some G.I. Joe: Retaliation listings.
Granted, none of the figures are actually in stock yet, but there are a trio of images and some information at the very least. Possibly the coolest part of these listings is the Flash-based magnifying system which really lets you get some nice close up looks at these figures. Definitely check out the listings themselves for all of those nice little details.

Another day another carded G.I. Joe: Retaliation figure reveal! This time around it’s Snake Eyes.
As someone who has actually gotten his hands on the Retaliation Snake Eyes figure, this is one hell of a cool toy, and I strongly encourage fence-sitters to at least give it a whirl. Great articulation, great design…a very cool figure overall.

Over the past number of days the GIJoe Collectors’ Club has been revealing carded images of upcoming G.I. Joe: Retaliation figures. Well, the latest installment is the G.I. Joe: Retaliation Zartan.
It’s an interesting subject because obviously as we’ve seen, the cards themselves are not at all different, it’s more an exploration of how the figures might look from a more final perspective. The slot in Zartan’s head for the light piping seems to be striking a negative chord with fans, but I don’t mind a whole lot, and I think the idea of glowing eyes is pretty neat.
